    - TV Coverage has been excellent so far, although Jimmy Connors needs some work.
    - Men's tennis has been decidedly boring so far in my opinion. Some good quality secondary matches, but the featured ones have all been blowouts.
    - Women's tennis is much more exciting. Much more parity and really you can follow the emotional and momentum swings much better. Oudin's win was great today.
    - Not a fan of Sharapova's dress...but damn, that is a good looking lady.

Agree on all counts. The women's side has been nothing short of fantastic. Oudin/Dementieva and Shvedova/Jankovic were both amazing matches. Give Oudin a little more time, she'll be big!

Sharapova's headband is awesome. Dress is meh. Maybe she should wear just the headband next match.

Incredible matches on the men's side today. Dent (win) and Ginepri (lose) in thrilling 5 setters.
    Nadal loses a set...interesting.

Oudin. Wow! So much fun to watch. Couldn't believe how many double faults Sharapova had, but that was the most exciting match I have seen in years.

It was a good match, but the lack of either of them being able to do anything on serve in that last set was terrible and actually got a little annoying. Still one heck of a match though and the best on the women's side I've seen in awhile.

Yeah, the overall quality of tennis was underwhelming, although both made some brilliant shots. But, I liked the fact that the serve was a toss-up...made it more exciting as you didn't expect a hold like most matches.

Roddick match was brilliant too. Both such dominating serves, but Isner was just incredible today in terms of playing very smart tennis. Roddick sat back for too long and left no margin of error, and all it took was 1 mini-break in the tie-breaker.

Oudin + Roddick = 7 hours of absolutely gripping tennis...add in the 5 set Hass match, and this was a pretty unbeatable day.

I didn't get to catch many matches at the Gorge. But looked like a wil weekend jugding from the scores. What's up with the Venus/Clisters match? 2 bagels & then 1 break in the 3rd.

I don't know if it's that bad. Clisters' cmeback has made it interesting, all the way to the semis vs Serena. I don't think they'll get the matches in today looking out the window. The other women's semi is hardly a blockbuster.

Del Potro quietly made it through the draw. And Gonzalez has put a bigger fight than I expected vs Nadal so far.

Wow was that a crazy end to the Serena/Clijsters match...never seen anything like it.
Serena played awful tennis the whole match...but it's pretty damn cool what Mommy Clijsters is doing after being off the pro circuit for 2.5 years.

The rain kinda put a whole damper on the tournament that started off really strong...sad. Can't believe a Women's Semifinal match at the Us Open was only witnessed by 500 people in the stands.

A shame Clijsters couldn't experience the glory of a final point, but there was no way she was losing that match. Nevermind Serena's unforced errors, but Clijsters enforced her own will the entire way. She made seemingly every shot, played the baseline masterfully on every point. So much concentration and discipline. I loved how she was expressionless the whole time as well, whereas Serena was an emotional wreck that proved to be disastrous. I love Serena, but her arrogance can be annoying and enjoyed her being handled tonight by a great player. And it turns out she has a little bit of Compton left in her

    Way to go Kimmy.

Honestly, I can't stand Serena. Unlike Venus, who is the epitome of class, Serena is completely lacking that department. She has never admitted that she was outplayed by an opponent, the complaining about calls like this, but the way she berated the line judge was just horrible.

And then she has the nerve to deny threatening the line judge after saying:

"I swear to God I'm [expletive] going to take this [expletive] ball and shove it down your [expletive] throat, you hear that? I swear to God."

I mean, come on, at that point, Clijsters should've been declared the winner. Good Lord what an awful display of sportsmanship.

Yup, way, way over the line...and honestly, I think she knew it too by the time the tournament ref made the ruling...she knew she fucked up in a major way. However, Serena only denied threatening to kill the judge (although, probably not too many people would survive a tennis ball being lodged in your throat).

She lost it mentally, lost it physically, and crossed a line and deserved the outcome as Clijsters played great and earned the win. But don't fucking call a borderline foot fault in the end of the 2nd set at a major semi-final. That's like calling a touch foul with a few seconds to go in the NBA finals when a team is down 1.

Right, the call was fucking stupid. But, the reaction was a thousand times worse. Serena just comes across as a classless bitch, very glad Clijsters won.

Also, Del Potro's dismantling of Nadal today was pretty incredible. Damn that guy has some absolutely wicked groundstrokes. That was some amazing ball-striking.
