Henry's Dream is high in the running for biggest disparity between the quality of the cover (terrible!) and the quality of the music (great!)

Can someone recommend an album? I'm looking for something challenging. Maybe it's divisive amongst fans and critics. Or maybe it's like a 9.5 on pitchfork, like Joanna Newsome's Ys, but it's still a tough sell, like Joanna Newsome's Ys.

If it's rap, I hope the lyrics make me think, or else that beat has to be top choice.

Venetian Snares’ Rossz csillag alatt született is a pretty wild 2000s mix of breakcore and symphonic elements

Colin Stetson’s New History Warfare Vol. 2 is some wild avant-garde jazz experimentalism, just one dude using circular breathing in a room with 20+ mics

Cardiacs’ Sing to God is all over the place, genre-wise, sort of prog, psychedelia, art punk with vocals most people seem to think are the hit-or-miss part
