downloading shows. its what we used to do, remember? (and some of us still do).

Its really not that hard and doesn't take that much time. I understand space can be an issue, but that's what portable hard drives are for.

Sound quality is better than DMBStream too.

But to each their own. Sorry for those who won't be listening to shows anymore due to this minor inconvenience.

To make life the easiest if you're curious

    Download the show from here

    Download this program

Convert the files to .mp3 (quality of your liking)

    Load to iPhone/iPod/listening device

You're all set. Label if you want to (that's what truly takes the most time)

SOOOO much easier to just click "listen" on DMBstream

no programs to download, conversions to make, or labels to type

    just listening to do

i don't need/want it bad enough to mess with it even a little bit

    indeed

Well, yeah, clicking on DMB Stream is easy, but downloading and converting a show isn't the open heart surgery its being made out to be.

Really, the only thing different is a converter tool. I'm sure most everyone has a torrent program anyway. I usually will download a show, and if I like it, I'll label it and keep it.

sad to see dmbstream go, but i didn't really use it anyway. I used to download all the shows, but have since just been downloading shows I have attended. I just don't really have time to listen to tons of different shows. If there is one I want, I will download it and convert to mp3 and listen, but I don't do that nearly as much as I used to....

i have had it playing in the background on the speakers of my computer at work...it is nice to just click "random show" and have it play...when it is over, i pick a new one...always something new and fresh

i am not about to download 15 different shows every week, which is about what I'm going through now

    oh well...such is life

dmbstream is down...if i miss the oracle tapping at constant spring this week i just might kms

DMBstream was a great tool for our listening parties. I download alot of shows, but I am upset DMBstream is gone. It was convenient to hit the shuffle button and have a random show play.

for anyone wondering why DMBstream was shut down. Same issue as the archive. Guy probably shouldn't have used "DMB" in the title of the site

    http://www.davematthewsband.com/legal

    TAPING

Matthews Band allows audiotaping at almost every live performance. We feel that each show is unique and want to offer our fans the opportunity to recreate the live experience through the audio reproduction of our shows. At all taping authorized performances, tapers can tape from any ticketed seating location in the venue. Also, for many of these performances tapers are able to purchase tickets for a specially designated taper section, normally located immediately behind the soundboard. No soundboard or power feeds are provided.

Taping is limited to audio-only, using only microphones. Wireless receivers are strictly prohibited. We sincerely appreciate all of our fans, so we ask that you please be considerate of those around you by not obstructing anyone else's view of the performance.

All recordings must be used for personal use or trading only. Selling or commercializing any recording is illegal and will jeopardize taping privileges for everyone. Please read our Bootleg Statement for more information.

In addition to helping fans recreate the live experience, we hope tape trading will foster greater interaction within the fan community. Any method of trading that does not involve personal fan interaction defeats the spirit of this goal of the taping policy and is not authorized. In particular, posting audio or video files on web sites for streaming to or downloading by the public, is not authorized.

yeah, i get that line of thinking....i have had two hearted on tap before at my house, ordered a keg from my liquor store, so for me it's not that big of a deal to have it out of the mini keg. i have just a shitload of beer still to go through and adding a mini keg of two hearted would just delay me getting to the beer that really should be consumed soon.

When I had a keg-erator i was more concerned with "cheap" than "good" (senior year of college...'twas epic)

I believe i currently have only 10 beers that i need to consume "soon" 6 of them are zombie dust though, and I have 18-24 more coming my way, so i should probably get on that

regardless, im getting a 2 hearted mini keg....i'll house it in 1 night if necessary

I guess i don't really see how it's substantively different than Dt.org. I don't have to interact with anyone there, just sign up and download. How is that any different than signing up and steaming?
