The crowd was brutal, the Stadium was like 2/3 full at best. Thank God the Rangers won because when they posted the final score on the big board it was the loudest cheer the crowd gave for anything all night.

I hate to be overly pessimistic this early in the season, but things are not looking good for this franchise at all. The ticket prices are too high, the team isn't that good. I could see the Stadium looking like it did in the 80's/early 90's with homeruns being hit into empty seats in the not-so-distant future. Very worried.
To be perfectly honest, I think they need it to happen in order to put together a good team of mostly homegrown players

Absolutely mind boggling that they'll be tied for first place if they can hold on to win this game tonight.

Well at least we know we'll win 20% of our games this year. Tanaka is unbelievably good.

I don't mean this is any sort of discriminatory way, but does anyone else get the vibe from watching Tanaka that he's gay? I'm not a homophobe, but his mannerisms seem a little effeminate when he's on the mound, at the plate, etc. Couldn't care less either way, but my father and I were discussing it last night and I was just wondering if we were the only ones who noticed this.

    ARod > Solarte

Seriously how good has this kid been. I thought he was going to fall off dramatically in May but so far he is just getting better with more power. Still a long season, certainly don't think he's gonna bat .340 but he looks legit right now.

Mets go into Yankee stadium and knock runs all over the place, then they get 7 hits and no runs in 2 games home

    Love Betances. Killer B.

The problem is that it's not just NY though, regardless of how frustrating it is. I've realized over the last 5-7 years that MLB players are literally made of glass. What other fucking sport do you know where a player won't play because of a blister, a hangnail, or a sore calf?

It's not like I don't understand the ramifications, but sometimes it just seems so fucking crazy.
