Looked back the last few pages since I can swear I made a post somewhere about how my wife and I are big fans and have now gotten my 2 boys big into Seinfeld. We have watched roughly 2/3rds of them with them, aged 11 and 9. Clearly, we haven't watched yada yada, the contest , the hamptons and others. They've been exposed to more than enough with the "safe" episodes.

We run quotes from show seemingly daily. So much in life begets a Seinfeld reference.

My 9 year old is especially too into the show. He wore a Happy Festivus t shirt to school on Festivus. All the kids were asking him what it meant. Would have to be a fly on the wall for those conversations.

among his favorite episodes are Festivus, serenity now, butter shave, kenny rogers,

That's awesome that your 9 year is a big fan. Hoping my kids will be too.

On a separate note, and this has nothing to do with you or your kid but rather I'm just making a joke, I would like to note that your 9 year old sons favorite episodes are all from the last 2 seasons. Some in this thread think those are the best, just more evidence that those seasons are more juvenile humor and not as smart as the earlier seasons.

Like George said, it's a smart line (show) and a smart crowd will appreciate it.

But hey, keep doing you seasons 8 and 9 lovers.

Was just talking to wife about it to find out his other favorites and I forgot all bout the mendelbaum episode. We are always saying "it's go time ". And when I get from work , I often go "my boy". Don't recall what season. That's near the top for all of us.

Others my wife pointed out was Soup Nazi . The babka episode (likes to say "big coat), the Fatigues , and the episode where Kramer buys the piece of highway and Newman catches fires 🔥 at the end .

Like I said , there are many he hasn't seen adding sponge worthy and the implant that I'm sure in a few years he will like, too.

There are some definite gems in seasons 8 and 9, imo.

    Good parenting

My dad got me hooked on Seinfeld. He was the first to introduce me to the show. Started it watching it around that age then became obsessed as a middle schooler. Some of the more "adult" jokes finally started to make sense as soon as I got to HS and beyond.

Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode:

JERRY: O.K. from now on I want you to call me "Jerry the Great".
ELAINE: I am not calling you "Jerry the Great".
JERRY: Why not you call him Maestro.
    ELAINE: He is a Maestro.
    JERRY: Well, I'm great.

I meant DVD, not Blu Ray. I just caught that.

To my knowledge, these aren't on Blu Ray yet. Or I haven't seen them.

Watching The Muffin Tops on TBS. I forget about this one but there are some great parts in it!

Jerry: What is it that she thinks you can't do?
George: Find a job, get an apartment.
Jerry: How did you do those things?
George: Nevermind, they're done. All I have to do now is redo them. You know if you take everything I've ever done in my entire life and condense it down to one day, it looks decent.

They have these deleted scenes on the DVD

Glad they cut them it would've ruined the whole joke with him never showing his face like LD said.

MAESTRO: Got lucky. Come on, Elaine, let's take a ride, I was about to pop in some Verdi.

Bob Cobb is in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm too. He's the inventory of the "cobb salad" and gets all triggered when Larry customizes one

    KRAMER: Why?
JERRY: Because it's a stupid thing to be called.
    KRAMER: Jerry he's a conductor.
JERRY: Oh conductor. He conducts the Policeman's Benevolent Association Orchestra.
KRAMER: Well, he's still a conductor.
JERRY: Well he sure worked pretty fast with Elaine.
KRAMER: Oh, you should see him do 'Flight of the Bumble Bee'.

JERRY: ya know the other day how you mentioned that there were no houses
    available in Tuscany?
MAESTRO: You didn't find one, did you?
JERRY: No. I'm not really looking.
    MAESTRO: Nor should you.
JERRY: So are you telling me there's not one house to rent in all of Tuscany?
MAESTRO: The houses are passed down from generation to generation, it's very hard.
    JERRY: I can't get a sublet, a guest room, a cot, nothing?
    MAESTRO: It's booked solid!
    ELAINE: It's BOOKED Jerry!
    JERRY: How'd you get yours?
MAESTRO: Got lucky. Come on, Elaine, let's take a ride, I was about to pop in some Verdi.

    "Bob Cobb?" - George

One of the most underrated quotes holy hell that kills me everytime the way George says it

I got them all as gifts over the years. I love having the hard copies because the Notes About Nothing and Inside Looks are really interesting.
