Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will perform two unprecedented special benefit concerts on December 6th and 7th at Seattle’s McCaw Hall. One hundred percent of the proceeds from these two shows will benefit charities selected by each ticket purchaser.

Here’s how this works:

Buy a ticket for $135 to either show and you will receive a unique code worth $150 on www.justgive.org

Use this code to direct a donation to any charity of your choosing on JustGive.org. (JustGive is a nonprofit organization that connects people to over 1.8 million charities).

Have fun giving with your fellow concert goers: consider making a collective impact by encouraging your neighbors and friends to all choose a mutual charity of interest, such as a local school, park or favorite community organization.

Your directed donation is funded by Dave Matthews and a generous supporter.

daaaaaaamn... I live in Vancouver and just dropped serious coin for Vegas between the tickets, flight and hotel! I could have simply driven to Seattle! Oh well, it is Vegas!

Reading into this...is anyone expecting some D & T shows during the next year? I can't see the entire year of nothing from Dave. Also if Dave does tour a bit on his own does this say something about the band? If Dave wants to keep playing and the band takes the year off what can we read into this?

im guessing like 4-6 d&t shows next year and maybe the "big 5 venues" with the band...... Gorge, red rocks, Spac, Alpine, MSG or Hollywood bowl.....

I'd say they would do Hartford over MSG if they were going to do that during the summer...

15 minutes from my house......I'm IN!!!!!

If I get tickets to both nights, then I'm more than likely gonna opt out of the Vegas trip. Haven't booked the hotel or flight yet, so this comes at the perfect time. If that's the case, I will have a pair of Vegas tickets for N1 and N2 up for sale at face value.

would rather do Seattle than Vegas as I saw D&T last year in Vegas...

hotel prices are cheap considering but all want prepaid no refund the fucking tools...WTF...

I usually like staying at the Silver Cloud up on Broadway near Seattle U for Seahawks games as it is near Elysian Brewing and there is a goovy retro bowling ally pool hall next door...

may do that place...I have customer over in the Swedish Professional Medical building...

They won't do Red Rocks, as it's not a big venue and doesn't make the band any money.

Too bad these shows didn't fall on a weekend. If so, I'd make the trip over to Seattle. As it is, I'll probably just stay on the east side of the state and stare at the setlists with envy.

Here's hoping that the setlists are better than the last D&T show I saw in Seattle (the 2008 Seeds of Compassion show).
