considering all that tapers have done for us, should I be mad/frustrated/disappointed that this show is not getting released, at least for the time being, if ever? Or am I/we just spoiled?

I gave up on last years, never had much hope for this years.
Maybe it's better that way? I had a great time, both years, why spoil it with the audio, just to go back and listen to it over and over again....

Especially that rendition of Recently....
Or JTR.....
Or that amazing Ants closer.....

not gonna lie - when antsmarching.org put the "Lost Shows Found" article up, I was hoping it was the Toronto show. NOPE.

and I also want to add that whomever has the Toronto shows, and is not releasing them (for whatever reason): Let us help you out! I know tons of people would help or get everything online for you! We just need the data. Hell, I'd even learn it, just to get the show online!

I still need submissions for these shows!!! Please someone send them and potentially be included in a book from and for the fans!

Did you go to a Dave Matthews Band show this year? Maybe it was more then one? Well I would love to hear from you!

The idea is to put together a fan book, where every show of 2010 is covered. As many words as you want about your experience!! Include what you did for tailgating, or post show if you want. Let us know why the show was special to you, or maybe why it fell a little short. Funny things that happened to you, people you met, your favorite song, the biggest surprise.. etc. If you have pictures with yourself in there, or just great shots of the band, feel free to include it.

The format idea:

The chapters will be each show. The chapter will start with the show name, a picture of the venue or the band playing at the venue and a setlist. Following that will be the fan accounts and a page or three of pictures from each show. Include your age if you would like to show the eclectic crowd DMB has. Include the amount of shows you have been to, and what show number that particular account is referring to.

If we can get this going, my goal is to get every show of 2010, bind it and send it to anybody who sent me their stories and then start spreading the word that it exist. Maybe someday it will reach the band. Thanks.

the tape's not gonna happen!


i've been to 3 gigs, 2 in the UK and this Toronto gig. my 1st (and by far the best) show wasn't recorded... the 2nd was, but it wasn't that great... and there's no tape for this Toronto one.

i'm kind of glad there's no tape for my first and best show, because if it ever comes out, the audio won't ever be able to match the feelings i had being at the concerts, it wouldn't capture the buzz at ALL, even though there were parts of it that i really would like to listen to again. they played Grey Street par example when i held up my Grey Street sign in the first gig, and i remember just feeling awesomely numb and in complete shock!!! and the audio if i ever heard it would no where NEAR capture that feeling.

i'm glad, for that gig, there's no tape. but it'd be kinda cool for this Toronto gig, because it wasn't as epic and i didn't feel the same buzz, so the tape wouldn't spoil it for me.
