maybe you know something i dont..but i find it hard to believe that VIP would not have assigned seating. Going strictly on what they did at fenway..there were seats set aside for the VIP people, why else would they be charging $275 a ticket..just for the buffet and a lanyard? I am a firm believer that VIP will have seats.

Did u c dave sitting right in front of them and give them love when they went up for their award last night. I can't wait, I hope we get a good sit in with some of these guys too. My friends a big fan and plays them all the time so I'm hoping to get her down to queens for her first dave show. Should b a good one. Furthermore I hope this 2 night stand is filled with epic comeback songs, new songs(meaning 1 or 2 songs we haven't heard yet), some decent cover tunes, a zac brown sit in, and a 2 night release on cd just like fenway in 06.

my guess is something similar. come out and play a song or two while its still technically dusk and then get into the main set once its dark out around 9.

so what is the general consensus with everyone on where they are trying to sit? Are you guys mainly going for actual seats, or gonna test your luck with the GA? I don't think i want to go the GA route, because I don't want to have to wait in line all day. Im just concerned that if I use the warehouse to get seats, the view will suck.

I'm probably going to do seats because I can't take the day off of work that Friday to sit in line all day and on Saturday I'm going to have someone with me. I'd rather be less stressed out and be a little further away than be having a panic attack from all the standing/shoving/seeing.

I sat in lower Right Field seats last year at Fenway and they were fine. I'll save the "sitting close" for my other shows that actually will have floor seating in addition to GA.

I'm going for regular seats. Can't justify spending all day waiting in line in NYC when there's so much other stuff to do.

That is my biggest thing...I will not wait in a line for that long. So are you guys doing Best Available, Reserved Grandstand, or the Prominade Center? Im thinking I should just do best available and hope against hope I get something good.

Well at the moment I only have a part time job, so money is an issue. So all I can afford to go for is the cheap seats.

Okay, so I was off by an hour!

CitiField will be later because there's nothing around it to be disturbed by the noise. Billy Joel & McCartney didn't start until after 8pm.

Long time VIP guy here, i've basically always done VIP when offered and i've been happy just to get the good seats at large venues like this, most of the time we actually skip the lousy Bud beer and tailgate on our own.

So VIP this year sucks! nobody can confirm if beer is included (not that i care) the price went up $25 to $275 and you either stand behind the GA people on the sound and lighting stage or can get a seat but i have no idea what the seat option is, wrote to WH days ago but haven't heard anything back.

GA sucks IMHO. WHers are basically shut out of the good seats now, i always go to Hershey and see them 5th row, this year it's all GA so i weigh my past concert memories of watching shows with people i see every year in a controlled enviroment against running to the stage and standing there for hours with no drinks or place to pee - how many people are going to injured at every show? how many times is the band going to slow things down when people get rowdy?

Too bad... i guess in the end there is more monry to be made when you charge tons of people to stand in front of the stage, there's no seats to set up and take down, you don't need as many security people to watch the rows and you can fit more people in.

Thanks for being so greedy DMB and forgetting about the fans that support you year in and year out.

    Andy steps off his soapbox.

I was thinking of going both nights and trying friday night on the field but I was worried about the crowding factor I'm gonna b with my girlfriend and I'd b quick to throw down if people started pushing and shoving. I love the idea of the field seats but ga makes it a mob scene and I'm not trying to deal with that, plus if it rains ur stuck in the suck. Me personally I'm going best available for friday night then scalp a set of lower level left field seats for saturday.

I understand all the negatives of GA Field, but I think I'm going to give it a shot. I was at Syracuse last summer and they did they same (I understand Syracuse is a lot different than NYC). I didn't wait in line at all, I entered about 15 minutes before the first band and I was pretty close and the atmosphere was great. I'm planning on going GA because I want to try to see the guys close and I want to stand on the field of my favorite team

VIP at Citi is NOT all GA, it says right on the ticket request page. VIP-GA & VIP reserved grandstand ( hence RESERVED ) you have 2 options, they're not gonna open up a GA seating section in the stands.

not much better than getting to see DMB play on the same field as your favorite baseball team..i know some people hate them playing in baseball stadiums but i think its awesome. I got to see them play at my fav stadium last yr (fenway), and it just makes it that much more of a great experience. You will be roaming in the same area that Carlos Beltran makes a living - pretty cool..

$85 for GA, $75 for most seats, and then a small section at the very top center of the stadium for $49.50.
