I know that you're a Schilling guy, have you tried Soft Wave yet. It's not bad at all, but my top 4 beers from that place and probably 4 of my favorite beers from anyone are from their offshoot, Resilience:

By the way, if you haven't been to Shoveltown in Easton yet, it's a pretty good stop now as they have expanded their selections. They have a vanilla-flavored craft beer that is fantastic.

Even though it wasn’t really in question, getting the time off approved for a little overnight in Saratoga for our anniversary made me happy.

Gettin that rib cap steak I saw Bobby Flay talking about on Best Thing I Ever Ate. And hit up a couple bars and shit. Then go to the state fair the next day to see Nas perform.

Had a colonoscopy this morning (due to family history) that I've been dreading forever and was supposed to do last year, but I stayed away from hospitals due to COVID-19.

After all the fasting and prep work and then the IV/sedatives, woke up to be told that I have a clean bill of health with no worries.

Thank the lord above.

If you have any family history of colon cancer, I highly recommend doing it at some point as early detection is extremely important. I had one done before and they did find a polyp, so I was nervous of them finding another one during this procedure.

Yesterday, after returning from a 10 day vacation, I tendered my 30 day notice. This morning, an exorbitant raise and future promotion were offered to retain me. I have already made up my mind, but the Project and Team Leads are already bringing me work. I intend to do absolutely nothing in the next 30 days except take the most productive, disgusting dumps of my working life, cook so much in the staff lounge (except for special occasions no one uses anything but the microwave) that it WILL be talked about. I also have a handle of Jack Daniels in my lock drawer. It's going to be a fun month. No other job opportunities in the works. I have money in the bank and I'm taking sabbatical. Working on rough drafts for my epic "F U goodbye" send all. I've (not) had fun helping this company make millions while I get peanuts. The only thing I'm doing is applying for opportunities outside the company. Literally years of 60-100+ hour weeks, I've made more money than I've ever have previously in this life, and I can tell you it's not everything. When this 40-day sabbatical is over I will get back to the grindstone but for now for the first time in a long time I'm truly happy
