Yeah, I read that in Entertainment Weekly a month or so back. On one hand, it could potentially build the fanbase and get more people interested in the show (i.e. new Showtime subscribers). On the other hand Doakes can't even really be in the show. All of his scenes will be edited.

Thats true. And I would hate to see his wonderful, profanity laced tirades be reduced to a bunch of "motherflippers" and "stuffheads" for regular TV.

He's such an awesome character...he'll be missed.

The more I watch it the more Deb grows on me also, I used to hate her. The episode where her and Lundy have their first dinner and he cooks for her, while slapping her ass, is like the most awkward thing I"ve ever seen on television. I seriously cover my eyes everytime I watch it.

I just finally got through w/ season 2, and MY GOD I am so addicted to this show now. I couldn't believe how the last 2 eps panned out. It really is great writing.

And yeah, I agree w/ what people have said about Deb...I thought she was kind of annoying at first, but now I love her. And Lyla...what a psycho, huh?

I also can't help but feel sad about Doakes. He didn't deserve to die, especially in that way...but if it's between him and Dexter, it's gotta happen. I'm officially in love w/ his character.

I read in the most recent Entertainment Weekly that producers closely supervised the editing process and cut on average 6 minutes from each episode, all cuts having to do with language and nudity. They said they were very satisfied with the final product.

According to the article, the show will have a run time of 44 minutes. Including commercials, they'll have their hour.

I just got into this show recently, I am about to finish watching Season 1. I just finished watching "Father Knows Best" from Season 1. OMG! I am fucking in love with this show. Besides Lost, this is one of my favorite shows in recent memory. I can't wait to watch Season 2 and then Season 3 when it airs!

I watched the first episode...its just not the same. A few scenes taken out, and Deb and Doake's dialogue replaced with things like "motherflipper."
