Made it 2 1/2 years but tested positive this afternoon.

Is this strain just much more mild, or the most susceptible people are getting boosters, or what? I feel like the amount I’m hearing about it spreading right now is not at all jiving with the hospitalization numbers I’m seeing which are just a fraction of previous waves.

Hope you're feeling ok. Everyone I know that's tested positive recently either had mild, or no symptoms as all. By mild, I mean they feel crummy (cold-like symptoms) for a couple of days before feeling better.

Immunity due to vaccination, infection or both is pretty wide-spread after the winter Omicron wave.

Tested positive this morning. Trip to Blossom with my mom is now cancelled. Fucking heartbroken. Called her in tears this morning with the news. Trying to move the tickets if she can't find a friend to go with.

I'm so fucking angry right now.

I know someone who tested positive on May 9th, had symptoms for a few days, felt better and tested negative after 7 days, and then a week later, symptoms returned and tested positive again. now she can't even sit up without her heart rate going nuts. doctor has her on a 2-week heart monitor. scary stuff.

Some people might suggest this was just the result of mental illness, long COVID doesn’t exist! (Obviously those people are wrong).

I don’t know what variant I had. But it hit me like a ton of bricks. Fever/aches/chills and some congestion for over a week and tested positive for 12 days. Wife still has a bad cough and chest tightness on day 12. She tested negative for the first time this AM. Maybe we got the short stick or had a large intake of the virus. But damn. This was a lot worse than a cold for us.

Symptoms are super minor. Little shortness of breath, but other than that, nothing else.

This strain going through NC right now is wild. Hearing lots of varying symptoms. Every one I know that has made it 2+ years is finally getting it. I'm convinced my wife and I got it from seeing Top Gun at Marbles. They really packed you in there. Would have been better off going to the Alamo.

I think that happened to Stephen Colbert. He missed a week of his show with covid, came back for a week, and then a week later missed another week with a resurgence of symptoms.

After avoiding it for 2+ yrs I tested positive for it on Sunday night. I took my son to see Coldplay last Wed so I'm 99% positive that's where I caught it. He's got no symptoms at all thank God, but he's only 8. But this thing is whooping my ass. literally every body part from my eye balls to the joints in my toes aches unbelievably. I've got no voice, feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest, fever and chills. Fucking miserable.

Had a little scare this weekend/earlier this week. Felt like shit for a couple days after seeing some friends, but tested a few days in a row, still negative and the shittiness I was feeling went away quickly.
