I said a long time ago that the GOP is going to have to keep saying more and more radical things to maintain its base and it’s going to bleed non-crazies, which will hurt them in the long run.

There’s a good chance I underestimated how many extremists the GOP started out with and/or that my theory won’t matter if/when election results don’t matter at some point.
