Re: Chicago Cubs

Frustrating loss but looking ahead to G4, I like the odds against Rich Hill. Anthony Rizzo really needs to start hitting ASAP

Also, I wish MLB home team advantage worked the same as it does in the NBA postseason. The Dodgers can now win the series without even having to go back to Chicago. I get that there's a lot of traveling involved, but it really should be 2-2-1-1-1.

I feel awful, but they're only down a game. We know how good this team has been all year. If Lackey can come through tomorrow then everything is fine with a 2-2 series, and Lester/Hendricks on deck.

This series won't be easy, but it's not over.

This is what Lackey was brought in for, but it won't matter if the bats don't wake up.

I'm not panicking yet, but that could change this evening.

Tomorrow will be interesting. Hoping Kershaw will choke and we'll be able to pull of a W. As long as Kyle pitches well and keeps it close, and we keep hitting well, I think we'll be in good shape.

Kershaw does not walk batters; Cubs need to be aggressive and swing early in the count. If they can get to the depleted bullpen, I think they'll take the series tomorrow.

    Stupid thought of mine:

Clinching game 4 or 5 at Wrigley, they bring out Eddie Vedder for the stretch during a Cubs Clinching blowout, and Eddie yells "Cubs fans...someday....is TODAY!!!!!!"

I'd be really happy for him, but not sure that would be the best move. Getting your swing back that quickly after that long a time off seems unlikely. I feel bad he hasn't been able to be part of this great season, especially if they make it to the WS.

He was cleared to hit on Monday in games. Hence he can DH in the AFL or even the World Series. He didn't just drop the crutch on Monday. He's been rehabbing non-stop, and running around since August.

I don't know how long he's been swinging but it was before today. He's not in danger of getting hurt, so if his swing looks decent he's an upgrade over Soler at DH. Indians also have a lot of right handed pitchers.

I would feel really bad for him if the Cubs win it all without him, so it would be a great story. Wouldn't worry about him getting hurt as much as him going 0-fer and it looking like a bad move. But if hes taking Heyward's spot
