Yeah, I was wondering about that too. I'm flying in from the Netherlands and I'm looking for something that won't kick my ass financially (from what I gather, Sweden is extremely expensive).

I can imagine that for the Gorge but coming there for the first time was spectacular.

Pretty much thought I was the only Swedish fan 'til I met some for the D+T show in CPH

Been looking into hotels a lot the last couple of days and a lot hotels are fully booked. Quality Hotel Globe Arena is pretty close by and if I'm not mistaken, a double incl breakfast is 1300sek/night. You can probably find some cheap hotels around Vasastan, ie. Gustaf Vasa Hotel (***). They had some good deals a couple of days ago

I think I just booked 4 tickets!!!! Can´t be 100% positive because my swedish isn´t as good as it should be, but it looks like I´m going to the show!

I don´t know ´cause I haven´t been to Stockholm since I was a kid, but I guess we could organize something...

Anybody ever been to this venue? I´m under the impression that there are no seats or different sections; it seems to be general admission, but I haven´t found any solid information yet.

Hi guys,

I just move to Stockholm about 2 months ago from California (originally from NY). Can't wait for this show. It will be my 56th show. I am hoping that we can set up a pre concert meet up bar or something. I will keep you all posted.

Also if anyone plays guitar in Stockholm I know about every DMB song on guitar haha so I would love to jam out with some people.

I went to a hockey game there in December. The seats are pretty badass because the steps are very steep so you won't have some Yao Ming guy blocking your view. As far as what they do for a concert I have no idea.

Their are some around there but they aren't fun. One subway stop down from where the venue is at towards the city there are some sweet pubs.

You've been to 55 shows!!!?!! That's impressive. If I ever going to come near that number they need to be more frequent in their Europe visits I'm pretty sure that this one will be the best one of all your 56, hehe.

Haha it will certainly be one of the smallest shows I've been to. The other only real "smaller" venues I have seen them at is Red Rocks, Berkeley Greek Theater, and the smallest being at the Stand UP release party at a large bar/concert hall in NYC.

By the way I live over by St. Eriksplan. I am actually buying a new guitar tomorrow. Let me know if you would want to jam out some point this week. Also, I should make a restatement. At one point or another I knew nearly every song. With a little help from DMBtabs.com I am sure the finger memory will pick back up. Anyways look forward to possibly meeting up. My facebook is

Hey everyone, this is a longshot but I thought it couldn't hurt to look into this. Maybe some of you more local Ants can help me figure out the feasibility of this happening.

So, I'm from the U.S. and am buying a Volvo through the Overseas purchase program, which means Volvo will fly me to Gothenburg round trip, pick up the car at the factory, and I can drive it around Sweden. I was planning to do this around March.... butttt, now that I see DMB is in Stockholm, maybe I could plan the entire trip around that?

The question is, are there trains that go between the 2 cities frequently? I don't want to make the drive between them in my new car in February If I could go from Gothenburg to Stockholm for DMB, spend the night in Stockholm, and return to Gothenburg the next day, that would be ideal.

Anyone think this is doable, and at a reasonable extra cost? Volvo is paying for 3 nights hotel as well in Gothenburg, so I'd be on my own finding a place near the venue/train station in Stockholm.

Actually you must be thinking of the Globen Arena. The Arenan at Fryshuset is about the size of a basketball court, just standing, no seats except maybe a couple of rows of benches at the back, don't remember for sure, it's been 8 years since my last time there.

Just booked my flights + hotel. Can't wait for my first proper DMB show after seeing DM solo, D+T and a short set opening for Springsteen last summer.
