Fun little Pardon My Take anecdote:

My Dad owns a dry cleaners and Chris Berman has been a customer for almost 20 years. He occasionally would give us some swag like a signed football from the Countdown crew, Travelers Championship tix, etc. I don't remember when, but he gave us this really absurd poster of him dressed as a mobster that said "The Gridfather" and we had it hung up in our billiards room with sports memorabilia. My parents are moving soon so I snapped a pic of the poster and tweeted it to the PMT guys asking if they wanted it for their office since they always goof on Berman during the amazing fasted 2 minutes segments every Monday. Almost immediately PFT tweeted back at me "holy shit yes" and moments later I got a DM from Big Cat about how obsessed they were with it and would love to have it. We chatted for a few mins and they took my address and ended up sending me like 6-7 tshirt (Flacco Elite, Jeff Fisher 7-9, PMT branded stuff, etc.). I thought that was pretty awesome of them.

    That’s hilarious. I have a similar story:

Back when I lived in an apartment when I first moved to Raleigh, I came home from work one day and our next door neighbor was moving out. Among his possessions sitting outside his apartment door was an old, framed, Chris Berman “The Bermanator” poster. This poster: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...7f477a577d.jpg

All I could think of was “You framed an Asia poster? How hard did the people at the frame store laugh when you brought this in?”

As a side note, I will say despite how incredibly played out Berman has been for a long time, he was always a really nice guy to me. I obviously can't attest to him other than personal experience, but I've talked to him a bunch over the years and he was always generous with his time, and gave us a lot of cool stuff he obviously didn't have to.

My favorite story is one time my dad delivered some clothes to him right to his house that he needed done before the Pro Bowl (obnoxious Hawaiian shirts and slacks) and he answered the door in an electric blue silk robe and boxers and they talked on the front porch about sports for like a half hour He's definitely a larger than life personality and guy, and actually you'd think he was an ex football player in person. Very big dude

Anyone watch the live stream when PMT sent Caleb to that bowl game with that makeshift trophy and he was trying to get on the field?
PMT, KFC Radio, The Rundown and the Pizza Reviews are all great IMO. Rundowns have gone down hill a bit, but so much of it depends on the stories of that particular day. The blogs themselves are HORRIBLY written, and I basically just skim the blog titles for click bait stories that I think are funny/interest me. I very rarely actually read the bloggers input.

Pres, Big Cat, PFT, KFC and Rone are all great personalities but they translate way better via audio like a podcast or a video.

Pres' personality, whether you like it or not, really kept the ship a float for a long time. His videos from the AVNs or back when there were the KO Barstool protests were great content.

Edit: Also, I think Asa Akira's input and content has been pretty good so far.

When Pres does actually blog these days it's always great. Every once in a blue he'll put out a vintage rant type random blog and it'll remind me of the good old days.

KFC has grown really old really quick. Much better when he was genuinely a miserable fuck. Now that he's got this new KFC Radio crew with Asa Akira (who is easily the least relatable person on the planet), he imagines himself as a new-age Howard Stern type, he goes so over-the-top with his reactions these days that it's so obvious it's an act. Surprisingly enough, Feitelberg has been the best thing about KFC Radio recently.

Totally with you on the bolded. I do the same thing.

I really dont like that they do political stuff, even if its just here and there. They should ditch Zero Blog Thirty and the Riggs stuff. Its poorly written, not researched and just puts a black eye on the brand IMO.

I used to strongly dislike Pres but he seems to have gone more satirical than serious and I appreciate that. I couldnt stand the Defend the Wall crap.

I am not a fan of KFC at all. He comes off as pretentious and doesnt seem to bring anything unique to the table. To me it just seems like he was a dude that was there on the ground floor and is just hanging around.

Gonna check out the Young & Happy podcast soon with Rone and Caleb, should be funny.

Tonight's show should be really good. Between the Pro football talk article and the Lebron stuff, Pres should have his fastball.

It was def as good, if not better. Pres would have gone way harder into Goodell and the NFL if he didn't have to play by TV rules and time constraints.

Internet really has been nice to them over the past few days. What the hell was the NFL thinking banning them when they have their on TV show. It's feeding them content.

Hopefully some good stories break today. The first night, they crushed Skip Bayless' show in ratings (and they are obviously on at a completely different time). They were even pretty close to First Take, and First Take's numbers have gotta be skewed because so many people, including bars, just leave their TVs on ESPN, even when no one is watching.

Last night was definitely better. I think weaving in old Rundown clips was a great idea. Gives context for newer viewers as to the backstory of some of these things (like Dave's hate for Goodell and Lebron).

Sooner or later they will replace KFC with PFT, the only reason he's still around is due to his longevity with the company and they're rewarding his commitment.

Pfffft. KFC is the straight man. He's the most necessary person. He can get conversations to go back to where they need to go, and he's really good at making BC and Pres look good.

Woke up to the news...Good for him to move on when he can. He was going to need more surgery's after his third one in a row. When he decides to go on tour for his stand up, make sure you go. I went last year to his show in Bloomington and he is fantastic.

I feel like people bagging on him for leaving money on the table with the Colts are missing the point. The guy has a passion for making people laugh and has the ability to pursue it. Good for him. If he's handled his money properly to this point he'll be in fine shape. But as somebody who's had a serious lack of fulfillment in my work in the past, if you have a chance to do something you truly love I say go for it. Excited to see his content.

kfc is much better than pres. like way way better
Better in the sense of he has a feel for hosting a show, but not nearly as funny.

Funniest guys on the site are:

    1. Big Cat
    2. PFT
    3. Pres

Everyone else is not that funny. Chaps has moments. As does Trent. But every single thing BC/PFT/Pres does is can't miss for me.

Big Cat is literally the definition of a Chicago suburb kid who goes to the University of Wisconsin.

Like I know a ton of people that are just like Big Cat.

Which is weird considering BC grew up in Mass.

    Even better!

Shows how much I follow the show/website (hardly at all). dude has a chicago accent and loves chicago sports. Figured he was from the chicago area.

I follow him on twitter. That's about the extent of my barstool experience.
