Re: Blackjack tables...I saw some $10 min at Mandalay.

also if Santana is still in residency, see that. We got our tickets for $20 through the guest loyalty program and concierge that a guy in our party was a member of. I sat 7 rows back, bar rows...literally maybe 50ft from one of the greatest...truly a pleasure.

    helicopter rides are pretty cool.

The Deuce is the cheapest way to get around the strip. It's a doubledecker bus that runs every 15-20 minutes. I think I paid like $7 for a day pass.

Take advantage of off-site convenience stores. Buy a little bit of booze, munchies, water, non-alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, etc. for the room there, don't buy ice obviously because it'll probably melt a good bit if you're walking and it's free at the hotel. Same goes for fast food.

Someone said the In and Out was hard to get to. I walked back from one on the other side of I-15 to Mandalay. I think I worked off the double double animal style with animal style fries I ate. Desert is serious business. I'm sure there are a few in Vegas, though.

If your hotel offers a shuttle to/from the airport or anywhere else, take advantage. Cab rides can get expensive. I was like four blocks from the airport and it was a $23.00 cab ride due to rubbernecking traffic.

Also, if you're really drunk and horny and want a handyJ, the working girls that can be found at like 4am in the casinos or bar areas are remarkably cheap and efficient. $20 for this guy and I even got a little mouth action. Of course I was piss drunk and it was from the proceeds after raiding the unattended slots and cashing out the vouchers.

If you plan to hang out at a bar/restaurant/club for a long time, tip your host/hostess well for good seating. Works especially well on a trial run and repeat business.

Renting exotic/sports cars is pretty cool. You can also shoot machine guns. Unfortunately you can't do both together. We tried.

Invest in a rubber or soft/plastic flask. Your wallet will thank you at clubs. They can't detect it with wands/metal detectors.

    Do not Vaporize alcohol.

There's a bar called zero...it's all ice, you get a coat to wear. Do not go from directly outside to the bar...you will get sick...as one guy in our party found out.

If you're there for more than three or so days find time to skydive.

Definitely skydive. If you're afraid to do that, jump off the top of the stratosphere. Its a controlled free fall for about 800 feet. Not nearly the same thrill as skydiving, but you're jumping off a building which itself is cool

If you have time, take a jeep/helicopter/boat tour of the Grand Canyon. Well worth the full day it takes

Slip the clerk at the front desk of the hotel a $20 when you're checking in. You'll probably get an upgraded room

If you're not gambling, you can still get almost free drinks. Just hang around the slots, give a waitress a $5, and order about 4 drinks.

Most waitresses will get you a drink if you're standing behind a friend at a table if it looks like you'll be there for a while. Just tip well.

Tipping well makes 95% of things better.

Clubs are obnoxious, and don't expect to get in wearing jeans. Any of the decent clubs will not allow jeans of any kind.

I've seen 'O', 'Ka', and 'Love'. 'O' is by far the best that I've seen, but it's also the most expensive. Ka was my least favorite, but I'm not certain 'ka' is even playing at the moment after the death earlier this month. I really want to see the new Michael Jackson show at Mandalay; but that just opened, so I'm not certain how easy it'll be to get tix.

Definitely play craps. The people you meet at craps tables are the best part.

Call me superficial, but fuck... I love Vegas. I'm there a lot for work and I dig it.

One thing I'll say about slots...when you hit that first big win, keep going a little. When you lose more than 10% of what you've won, quit while you're still ahead. Print the voucher, move on to another form of gambling or machine. If not, you'll get sucked in and left with Zilch.

Dont say the word seven, or crap-out while at or near the craps table. And if someone tries to explain the game to someone while next to you, go to a diff table. Its just not good

I won $175 last time I was there on a dollar slot. Definitely spent way less than that on slots every other time I've been there combined, so it definitely paid out for me.

Like most of your post, I disagree.

Vegas clubs are the best. If you are in your 20's definitely check them out. Lived in Vegas for 8 years, went to college there, rule #1 guestlistes are bullshit (you'll understand when you get there). If you do plan on going to a club pre drink before you go. Rule #2 Vegas is the most superficial place you've ever been, if you plan on going out on the strip DRESS APPROPRIATELY.

You'll have the best odds to win playing blackjack, you'll have the most fun playing Craps, and if you play slots play the ones that have a jackpot and are on the outer edges of the casinos (statistically proven to pay out more).

If you are a heavy gambler take advantage of players cards (again, you'll understand when you get there), if you you win/lose big you become eligible for comp food/rooms. Typically, I would play $25 blackjack for 3 hours and get breakfast, lunch, and dinner comp.

Vegas is not built for people on a budget, unfortunately. You pay for what you get. The $3.99 buffet is dead. If you are looking for lower limit tables take advantage of downtown (old) Vegas. That area is getting gentrified. If you are an artist, all the art bars are downtown, too. Check out the Gryphon or The Bar. Great places.

Other than that, good luck. Remember that the city doesn't give a shit who you are as long as you are spending money.

Heading there this afternoon. Got out $300 in cash and hopefully wont need more. Not a huge gambler, I will probably play a few hands of blackjack and just put $50 on RED and hope for the best. Bringing some rum to fill a water bottle with for the pool. BRING IT ON!
