The kind where people don't want to contribute financially to a pedophile? Wild stuff.

I don't blame them for protecting their investment. It would be a different story if they went back and edited him out of American Beauty and The Usual Suspects, etc.
I disagree that a movie will tank just because Spacey is in it. Just like I don't think movies produced by the Weinstein Company will struggle.

    A couple differences there, though:

The average movie goer has no idea who produces the movies they watch. They know the actors in them.

Weinstein was "only" abusing adult women. Spacey was abusing children; even the worst misogynists are probably against pedophelia.

No one wants to see anything with Spacy or Weinstein in it.

The difference is Weinstein is never on camera.

But with social media any movie that Weinstein produced is going to be on blast on social media, 24 hr news, local news, etc. at this point. They won't be as easily identifiable from the previews/commercials but there's no way people can go in completely ignorant to a movie produced by him.

Everyone should be, but there is a difference between hebephilia and pedophelia, has someone said Spacey assaulted or abused them when they were pre-pubescent? If so, he's fucked.

I agree. I mean, any movie he produced you can bet he offered a message to every female cast memeber and whipped it out in front of a few too.

I honestly just don't think people will care enough to boycott something.

Roman Polanski raped a teenage girl and The Pianist was a massive box office success and won Academy Awards. I get the notion of on-screen vs. off-screen, but I still don't think it's going to have as big of an impact as people think.

This stuff with Spacey is crazy - him, the director, HW, Sheen.... just goes to show that like I said, this sort of behavior is rampant in hollywood and is, I'm sure, much much much more widespread than is even coming out right now. It was a fundamental practice, HW just opened the floodgates.

I saw Revenge if the Nerds in the theater and I think I laughed harder than any other movie ever.

    Imagine that movie today.

Putting on a mask and date raping someone
Installing cameras in a girls dorm
Selling topless pictures of a woman without her knowledge

    What else did they do?

That was 10 years ago or maybe more. The culture has changed drastically since then. People are more woke now.

I watched half of the first episode and called it. So bad.

Thankfully I found a spoiler article and read what happened this season. I didn't miss anything.

Yeah that was bad. I watched it to say I did it but it wasn't good at all. Took me days to get through it because other things would win out for me to watch.

I watched two episodes and have not found the motivation to keep moving forward with it. From the sounds of it, and from what I saw, it seems like reached to the lows of Dexter’s final season.

Agree with the others here. Such a terrible season. That final episode was bad. Like, just so much bad, I don’t know where to start. I like Claire and Doug but they couldn’t carry the season and the writing was so awful.

Seeing that Claire is tied with skyler as the most absolutely annoying person in a tv show ever I’m not surprised a show all about her sucks.
