That may just be your experience due to the fact that the shows were metal... Always been an enjoyable venue to see Dave, hopefully your views change after this coming show

    Hey guys,

Does anyone know how long it would take to drive from AT&T park to shoreline? Also the Golden Gate to shoreline? I've read about 45 minutes. Is that accurate?

Yeah could be 45 min or so. However, the traffic in sf is often very crazy. It can jam up big time at any given moment. So make sure to give yourself plenty of time to spare

How cheap can I score tickets to a Giants game? I'm sure it being against the Dodgers will up the price...

Not sure price wise, but ever since the won it all, close to all home games have been sold out. Dodgers will def be sold out so I'd suggest getting tix in advance for a better price.

There are still tickets available for the Sunday Giants v dodgers game. Prices range from $35 on up. I'm thinking about going. Cal Train is a great option to go to and from Mountain View and ATT park. The train will take you from the Mountain View station all the way to the park and back. The moutain view station is like 10min drive from the concert venue. Plus, you can drink on the Cal Train. A three zone day pass is $13.50

Ya it will be...and they started doing "Market Pricing" so the more that sell out, the higher the price gets. And the dodgers will cost you an arm and a leg no problem!

If you can swing $60 for a shoreline tix+$50(est.) for a giants tix...go for it! That would be an awesomely fun "ferris beuler" style day

Just a heads up they stopped any kind of tailgating or parking lot parties at Shoreline years ago. The cops and security are thick and very quick to move you along.

in 06 my buddy adam and i were lucky enough to go to the giants and dogers game before night one and unfortunatly for us the game went into the 11th inning. We ended up just barley making it in time. But the cool parts of the game was bonds hit a homer into the drink and the giants won with a play at the plate. Even though i got reserved not sure if im willing to take a chance. Im to cheap to pay for tickets to a giants game and leave before the game ends.

They were making people pour beer out in '10 and at Bridge School in October but they didn't hassle us about hanging out. Just learned to watch for their rounds and put the beer up when they got to our row.

Power To The Peaceful 9-8-2012... Free festival in Golden Gate Park, this is in my opinion one the best festivals in the country, free or otherwise. I have been for the last 7 years, except for last year because the fest. took a year off. Great vibes, lots and lots of people, around 80,000. Michael Franti and Guerrilla Management put it on every year. If your in town for the weekend you should definitely check it out.

My one and only show this summer. Oh well, no shows for me last year and did three shows in 2010. Maybe a Winter show or two shows next summer. We shall see.

Def hoping for a winter tour for sure. If they play MSG, hoping to get out for that. About time though, they do a winter run in Cali. That would sure be nice...

I know this was probably discussed before but I'm possibly thinking of coming out for the 3 show California run... I've actually been to the chula vista and irvine ampitheatres last year for 311... I've never been to shoreline though. How nice is the venue? Is it worth checking out or is it just the average ampitheatre?

Nothing special, just another amphitheatre... but you're guaranteed to have warm temps and stay dry in early Sept, so that's a plus.

Oh okay... For some reason I thought it was supposed to be really nice. Maybe I was thinking of another one. I'm debating weather to do California or maybe west palm beach in Florida. I wish shoreline was 2 nights.

I've been to amphitheaters all over the country including the Gorge. I think Shorleline is one of the better ones. There is Sky Bar at the top of the lawn, plenty of restrooms ( blue rooms) and great sound. That's just my opinion though, you should definitely check it out for yourself.

That's good to hear.. I always like hearing opinions from people that have been to multiple venues around the country so they have something to compare too... What do u find to be your top 5-10 around the country? I always am interested on peoples opinions of venues I've never been too.

    Top venues I've been to:

    Redrocks
    Gorge
    Greek Theatre
    Shoreline

Going to Alpine this summer, sure that will be placed in there somewhere. Can't think of other venues that were super outstanding at this point...

My top 5. The first one isn't a traditional "venue" but it's by far the most beautiful place I have ever seen a show.

1:French's Camp (original home of Reggae On The River)
    2:The Gorge
    3:Red Rocks
    4:Shoreline
