Last night was the first one at Virginia Beach since 2008.
I’m not denying that it’s been in heavy play since 2018, just an observation on the “how” that heavy play has been.

7 out of 17 shows for me (sledge) from 2018-present. But you are correct that the venue plays are not as repetitive as it “feels” if that’s the word?
Only venue to repeat was PNC Holmdel (2021 & 2022) but from Charlottesville to SPAC, Tampa to MSG, I’m a sledgehammer magnet.
I’m not surprised to hear what someone posted about Dave looking at Venue, tour and other sets/stats when writing a setlist. There is some “fairness” to it (unless you’ve never been to SPAC, Gorge, C’ville, or Mexico then you may feel like he plays favs). One example though is Rye Whiskey was in 1 night’s encore every 2-nite stand so far up until SPAC. But the observant one will recall he opened n1 in 2021 with Rye, and let’s be honest, I doubt anyone was complaining about that “snub” with either encore at SPAC this year.
Everyone’s got songs they can’t seem to miss and can’t seem to hear. Aside from CMAC, I’ve heard Nancies once in 20+ shows from 2017-present. 4 band shows this year, 5 total inc CMAC and I heard like all of my top 10 at least once except for Pig, but w/o pulling stats I think it only has 3 maybe 4 max plays so far.
What does torture me is I was 1 hour from West Palm when ticketmaster called to tell me the bad news. Have a major schedule conflict on the make-up dates and I have this looming FOMO that one of those nights will be top 1-2 shows of 2022. He opened Jones Beach with Last Stop the “rain date” of a weather shortened show in ‘19, and that was a kind of bonus for a crap luck night before. Not saying he does or should feel bad about COVID, but I envision a similar evening of “you guys earned its!!” for WPB in few weeks… going back to the fairness of setlists he won’t forget the unintentional let down that again while obviously not his fault, had more to do with him than the weather.
And WPB usually already has a top 5-6 show one of two nights anyway….so jealous of everyone going
