I actually thought that this celebrity jeopardy was better than the previous times Will has come back to host. Tom Hanks was hilarious as was the random Burt Reynolds appearance by Norm. Also, I thought Norm and SNL had a serious falling out and he said he would not be returning ever. Did that happen or am I just making that up?

I don't think Norm and Lorne ever had a problem. I think other NBC execs had a problem with Norm.

And Lorne is king do he can have him back if he wants.

Haha yeah I noticed that too. "Turd Ferguson, it's a funny name."

    Trebek: Burt Reynolds
    Reynolds: That's not my name.
    Trebek: Ok, Turd Ferguson.

They did, but I'm willing to bet a lot of those people are gone now.

Yeah, I think that was Seth on flute, billie joe and norm on acoustic guitars, tom hanks on sax, one of the new girls on violin, and there are probably more i didn't catch. Talk about an all-star celebrity band.

Loved this episode! But "Know Your Enemy" has to be one of the most disappointing songs I've heard in awhile... worse than "Get on Your Boots."

but at least get on your boots allows you to listen to some quality elvis costello. know your enemy gives you about three chords doing the same thing over and over and over

Its good to see SNL so funny again. There were some rough years in there. Samberg cracks my shit up.

Also, I loved seeing Norm MacDonald on there. I wish he still did Update. He was my favorite.

So I'm catching some of this Alec Baldwin hosting rerun. I don't know, I suppose when you do the math you have to come to the conclusion that the writing staff blows? After all how else can it be that when so many players do so well and are funny in other projects (Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, etc), but from about 90% of what I've ever seen here on SNL the last couple years, are so painfully unfunny?

I've been watching since midway thru the opening sketch and I literally haven't even cracked a smile once.

Ya I agree the writing on SNL can be pretty weak at times.
