someone I know told me the Pilgrimage festival is really cool because it's not super huge. I'm all in on Black Pumas, Cage the Elephant, Black Keys, Amos Lee, and Kharungbin too

That is, unless they are holding that window open to reschedule any shows that have to move for COVID reasons.
Or, they get announced soon as the FRI 10/22 concert at the Austin COTA F1 race weekend, and add Dallas and Woodlands before/after? Billy Joel announced last week as the SAT 10/23 F1 concert.

I can't think of any other reason why they would've rescheduled those original 10/1-10/2 Fiddler's shows, they wouldn't have conflicted with the tour at all. Clearly they were making room for something else. So yeah I think ACL is a lock.

Not sure, my wife loves it, she went to UT and went a lot, but she was late teens early 20s when she went too, may be different as older folk.
Also the reddit ACL speculation thread has added DMB as possible headliners in the sticky with no proof other than the reasons we have stated in this thread.

Re: **Official Texas Two Step 2021**

So i asked my wife. She said a lot of younger crowd. She said it used to be earlier in the year, really hot, not much shade, but didnt care because they were young. She said October would help a ton, but still be warm. She said she always found good new music and that made it worth it. She said everyone tried to go to the bigger name shows, so be there early if you want a good seat, which means you may miss smaller shows around that time. Anyway, that's from mid-late 2000s so take it for what it's worth.

My first year going was 2001 (I was 19). My last year was 2019 (I was 37). Probably went a dozen or so times in between.

Yes, it's fun. The festie kids are there, but they crash the front no-chair zone. People our age chill back in the chair zone. Other than the big big headliners, you can get a decent view at every stage without being cramped. There will be molly'd out festie kids and families there with their kids, and neither interferes with the experience of the other.

yeah in 4-5 ACLs I've been to I've NEVER had an issue.

it's certainly packed at the front by the time the last 2 bands come on each stage, but the way it's laid out, there's tons of room behind like Matthew said.

I really enjoy it ACL. It's gotten noticeably better since I started going in 14 or 15, too.
