It ranks right along with Crash as my 3rd favorite album. I love BWGK , I think it's awesome, and I am not afraid to say it.
This is one of the reasons why I like you so much!

Should replace the dud cry freedom with epic black jack. How much better would that make crash?

I need to learn what this Penis Song is . But really, I have no problem with liking Big Whiskey. It's definitely below the top 3 for me, probably below Busted Stuff too but I like it alot. I can't seem to figure out why people get so upset about opinions 'round here.

    Re: Crash

There is not one song on BW that will go down as classic DMB. Crash is full of them. BW is an ok album as far as DMB goes. Definitely below Busted Stuff also though. On par with Everyday and definitley better than Stand Up.

    Re: Crash

I put it above Everyday, better songwriting at times in ED but at least Big Whiskey feels like a Dave Matthews BAND album. ED would have made a decent Dave Matthews pop solo album. Being musically interesting is something that is usually important to me. Now, combine both lyrics and music like in BTCS, and you have a near-masterpiece. But, back to why this thread was started, yeah Crash is awesome.

Just listened through it all the way recently as well and loved it. kept it in my cd player for about a week. I forgot how relevant Tim was in this album. Agree with the people that say it's second behind BTCS.

    Re: Crash

I just listened to Crash for the first time in a few years. I dont know if its the summerish weather in the midwest or just that its been a while, but I was loving it more than I remember. I do think that BTCS flows better as an album but Crash has great songs.

Incredible album. The acoustic sounds on Two Step, Proudest Monkey, and Lie In Our Graves just creates a very unique sound. Before These Crowded Streets> Crash> Under The Table And Dreaming.

Here's a clip of the short little tune: http://www.sendspace.com/file/fbmdcp

    Here's the show: http://dmbalmanac.com/TourShowSet.as...=57&where=1992

And Weekly Davespeak has more info on it: http://www.weeklydavespeak.com/wdext...a_020204.shtml

Also, yeah, people really do get bent out of shape because of someone's opinions. I feel that I always have to defend my opinions because they aren't what majority of the people on here (or at least the loudest ones on here) think.

    Re: Crash

Alot of people seem to be agreeing that the each subsequent releases of UTTAD>CRASH>BTCS and culminating with TLWS seemed better than each previous release. I can see now how ED was a huge bummer (although I still enjoy the album)

    Re: Crash

I also sometimes wonder if TLWS had never been leaked, and just say ED came out after BTCS anyways, followed by BS, then wouldn't BS probably be considered more of a salvation than it currently is? Of course stand up would still be a slide backwards....

    Re: Crash

Surprised there wasn’t much love for Crash’s 25th yesterday. This was THE album when I was in high school.
Under the Table got me started on the band, but Crash pushed me over the edge and they became my favorite. What a special album. So many memories driving around town with the windows down jamming every second of this masterpiece. Paid a little tribute with a cover of “Crash Into Me”. I cheated and skipped the pinky stretch!
