Pandora/Brita Big Whiskey Stream

Thoughts on the Brita sponsored stream of Big Whiskey on Pandora? Apparently it's part of Brita's campaign to get people to stop drinking bottled water and use re-usable containers to drink out of. Go Green or go home right?

Dont forget the unnecessary fluoridization of water!

My trifecta of things to avoid in liquid...Aspartame, HFCS and fluoride.

Although Britas will not filter fluoride, you need the Big Berkey system for that.:D

    So, they are all unnecessary.

Agreed with all of the above. I haven't bought a bottle of water here in the States in over two years - I did buy bottled water in Central America and Africa, and I actually brought the bottles from Africa back to the states for recycling. Not that it would have mattered, the badlands of SubSaharan Mali is just strewn for miles with rubbish. It's disheartening to see little kids playing in garbage piles. But anyway....

Seriously, our water supply here in the States is pretty good. Not as nice as Icelands, but then, nobody's is. I see no reason to pay the CocaCola company to open their taps, fill a bottle, ship it across the country and store it in an air conditioned building. That's needless. But people are welcome to do whatever they want with their money, and I'll feel free to call them retarded for it.

Just giving seekup a hard time. He's used to it by now. ;) I will admit to buying water bottles, but I only use one per day and refill it using filtered water.

Do you really need to be a liberal to understand that plastic bottles aren't good for the environment in such gigantic quanitities?
    And I drink bottled water.

It's just always wierd to me that these conversations are always made into liberal versus conservative. Thinking that plastic bottles sitting in land fills for decades is bad for the environment doesn't make you a bleeding heart tree hugging liberal. It makes you rationale.

Sure, I guess? But then I thought I also said "But people are welcome to do whatever they want with their money, and I'll feel free to call them retarded for it."

Maybe I should make it more Conservative and say "I don't like bottled water. My God does not like bottled water, and you're all going to hell. I'm going to try to pass laws to outlaw bottled water, and stage protests outside of grocery stores and try to stop people from buying bottled water. Maybe I'll even threaten workers at grocery stores that sell bottled water, and blow up their buildings. Then I'm going to put bumper stickers on my car with phone numbers for help lines for people thinking about buying bottled water, because that's what good Americans do - badger people about making personal decisions."

Thanks for the Heads up on the HFCS and the Big Berkey. I did some research and Weston Price has some good articles on the danger of it. I also went ahead and bought a Berkey Light and I love it!
