What previous DMB albums does each song fit on? If any...

Broken Things- BW
Belly Belly Nice- BW
Mercy- Stand Up
Gaucho- BS
Sweet- UTTAD
The Riff- BTCS
Belly Full- Crash
If Only- BS
Rooftop- ED (but in a good way)
Snow Outside- Crash
Drunken Solider- BTCS (if I had to chose, its really its own album)

    Gaucho- BW
    Sweet- Some Devil
    The Riff- BS
    Belly Full- Some Devil
    If Only- Stand Up
    Rooftop- ED (definitely see what you mean OP)
    Snow Outside- Some Devil (everything from the rift to the lyrics)
    Drunken Solider- BTCS

    I don't think the band will have another song that sounds like it could have been written prior to Crash.

    Broken Things- BW (Intro and verse) Some Devil (Chorus)
    Belly Belly Nice- BW (Its basically a better SMLAM)
    Mercy- Crash
    Gaucho- BW, BTCS (outro only)
    Sweet- Some Devil
    The Riff- BS
    Belly Full- This seems more like one of the unreleased solo tunes that finally made it on an album, like #40 or Sister. Quality wise it's more towards the former
    If Only- Stand Up (But better than any of the actual songs)
    Rooftop- ED (again better than the actual songs on that album)
    Snow Outside- Either Some Devil or Crash (everytime I listen to it I change my mind)
    Drunken Solider- BTCS

    You know its funny. After a few listens I was thinking the same thing! I think Some Devil is lyrically stronger, but Im diggin this album.
    I cant assign the songs to different albums but the overall feel I get is a Some Devil/Crash vibe going on

    Broken Things - Big Whiskey, or secondarily Everyday or Busted Stuff. Too electric sounding for big 3. Violin solo is right out of BTCS though

    BBN - Big Whiskey, they didn't used to do songs like this. They did funky ones in the old days, but it was a different kind of funk

    Mercy - Busted Stuff, fits in there with WAYG and GIG

    Gaucho - AFTW, cant place this one... Maybe BS if I had to, but it doesn't really fit there

    Sweet - Some Devil, for obvious reasons

    The Riff - Big Whiskey, Definitely has that new Tim feel.

    Belly Full - Some Devil

    If Only - Stand Up, secondarily Some Devil or Crash...a really crappy alter-Crash

    Rooftop - Everyday

    Snow Outside - Some Devil, just sounds like a Some Devil song to me, maybe, secondarily, Crash

    Drunken Soldier - Lillywhite Sessions, its hard to place this one, but it sounds like a conglomeration of a lot of different awesomeness so tLWS it is.

    Belly Full = Some Devil
    If Only = John Mayer's Continuum album (seriously)
    Rooftop = Big Whiskey
    Snow Outside = Big Whiskey
    Drunken Soldier = BTCS meets Some Devil

    I just realized in doing this that most of the AFTW sounds like a full band sequel to Some Devil to me. Not complaining, since I love Some Devil! But this album doesn't necessarily sound like prior DMB albums very much, IMO.

    Tim's guitar tome sounds very similar and the riffs (actual guitar riffs not the song) sound similar. of course im talking about when tim slams in on time bomb.

    Broken Things - BTCS Seems to have the scope and flow of BTCS to me
    Belly Belly Nice- Crash, funky livish feel
    Mercy- Busted Stuff
    Gaucho-
    Sweet- Some Devil for obviously reasons
    The Riff- Big Whiskey (very rockish song)
    Belly Full- UTTAD doesn't have the atmospherics like SD, just a simple song that the band joins in on.
    If Only- Having a hard one on this. Maybe Everyday if the band was allowed to write their own parts?
    Rooftop- BW again very rockish
    Snow Outside-UTTAD though the end jam sounds like Some Devil
    Drunken Soldier- The only answer for me on this is BTCS, the scope of the music and highs and lows could only fit onto BTCS.
