My father used to work for a company that did corporate accounting and banking videos. One of the experts from the banking industry said that identify theft was a bank issue and NOT a customer issue...that passing it onto the customers was a BS move by the industry. It was essentially them not owning up to the fact that weren't doing nearly enough to protect their customers.

Why mention this? The whole deciding what you or don't want to purchase when and where is also banks/CC companies not wanting to clean up fraudulent charges...which doesn't really cost them anything. It's an inconvenience that they just don't want to deal with. I get them being cautious about foreign charges, especially including trips to other countries...contacting them before you travel is key. Domestic charges from a company that many have had previous business through the same banks/CCs around the same time of year should not be flagged, but even if they are, they should NOT be rejected. Let them through, contact us and correct them if necessary.

Rant over. Back to ticket worrying...

That's the way they made it sound in my email response. I am trying to get tickets for four different series. They did a pre-authorization on my card twice (for Series 1), both were declined by my bank, so now my card isn't sufficient in the Warehouse's system. They stated that I could try public sale and continue to purchase merchandise to take advantage of my WH membership this year.

So weird. The only time I talked to Citi a couple years back, they told me that there would be no issue for the purchase and they don't even make notes about large pending purchases. I've never had an issue and haven't had to inform them of anything.

Are you sure you entered everything correct? Regardless, sorry that happened.

I have a charge for Series 2, and I have shows requested for Series 4. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how this goes.

You can probably use another card when Instants drop?

Yes, everything was correct. They sent me messages asking if it was me who tried to make the purchase. I said yes and they said "OK good. Well, that was declined, but try again". This was after they already let a charge go through for Series 2.

I called today to find out what happened. They said that they believed it to be fraudulent but since I said it was me, they wouldn't decline it again.

So frustrating. I just hope this doesn't affect what already got charged for Series 2 and that they try this card again for Series 4.

It looks like I also have may have hard charges for Series 2. The charge is still listed under "Pending Transactions" but under the details it has a "Posted Date" of today. Google search tells me "Posted" is an indication of a full charge.

Edit: Never mind. Didn't realize ticket times are grouped into "series". Have nothing yet for series 4 or for series 5. Is that expected?

I have hard charges for Series 1 (requested Charlotte, Atlanta and Charleston x2) but did not get the seats I requested as the charge is about $300 less than the highest possible charge. With four shows in the series, it’s hard to determine what I didn’t get but assuming the 2 Charleston shows will be one floor (what I requested) and one bleacher. Or it could just be that I got declined for one night but it’s too early to do that math.

In Series 2 I just had Raleigh and have a temp charge that equals a top tier ticket.

That brings up a question I've had...does the WH do temps for all your requests at once OR are requests from a single account on a series by series basis. I can't remember how this stuff went with the last few years...
