A lot of his songs stray from bluegrass. Listen to the album Home.

But if youre looking for specific songs...

Taking Water
Highway Hypnosis
Wargasm
Turmoil & Tinfoil
Watch it Fall
Away from the Mire
Pyramid Country
Fire Line
Hide and Seek
Ride me High

My favorite ballads are probably Must be Seven and In the Morning Light

I don't think he's released All Fall Down on an album, but it's one of his best live songs imo:

Edit: After a little digging, looks like it might be a John Hartford song. Either way, he kills it and his jams/sounds always get very out there.

My only concern as someone who got into him during covid and hasn’t had a chance to see him yet is that a bunch of my favorite tunes are showing up less and less in the sets (somewhat understandable with the new album just dropping but still). Creek, Turmoil, Mire, On the Line, Highway Hypnosis, even Dust are taking a backseat to the Renewal songs. I love the new album but want to get a bunch of that stuff too. Got two shows in Philly coming up in November so hopefully I’ll get a mix of some of those.

Anyone have a single ticket for the Boston show this week? Seems like a tough ticket and I'm striking out everywhere.

While I don't have an extra for Boston this week, a buddy of mine texted the other day with a spare so I'll be there. I'm looking forward to the show, especially since live music is a little harder to finagle these days with small kids at home.

I tried my best to get Nashville tickets but couldn't get through during the presale or general on sale. If anyone has a ticket to spare, I'm interest. If not, maybe I'll hit up one of the newly released dates in 2022!

It took me a while to "get" Billy, but now that I have, I can't get enough. Such and great musician, and I am starting to see stories what what a great person he is, too.

They keep popping up on CashOrTrade, but twice now I've committed to buy and I was beat out. I may pull the trigger on the "resale" Ticketmaster tix. Prices have come down quite a bit.

DejaTu starts tonight. Hoping for some of that good ol' Grateful Dead. I'll probably do the stream tomorrow.

Waiting impatiently for the nugs.net upload. They usually happen next day, but thinking because these are livestreams maybe there's an exclusive window there before we get on nugs.

Already about 6 different versions on Archive.

PC, Bronzeback, Daughter and Mire were all top notch.

Dust > DD was insane, and Thunder got way out there. Also thrilled to see Turmoil.

Just saw him in Cleveland, back in early March. I went in a very casual fan, just wanting to check out the live show. I will never miss another show in my area, show was just incredible. This was one of those live shows that you remember for a while.

That Dark Star>>Spinning from Cleveland is straight up COSMIC SOUP

Ive seen Billy 4x since last august and I cannot get enough. Doing a 3 night run later this summer Desmoines>Minneapolis>Fargo. In a summer jampacked with awesome shows (DMB at alpine and the gorge, Pearl Jam, Phish, Dead & Co, King Gizzard among others) I can already tell you these WILL BE my shows of the summer.

Billy is just in some other fuckn stratosphere

I saw him perform his last show as "Billy Strings and Don Julin" in a tiny little Traverse City Michigan venue back in November of 2014. He's come a long way.
