Love Toad but the other bands are meh to me so I'll probably pass. Are single headliners with opening acts at club venues like going by the wayside or something? Everything seems like it's a multi-headline show just to be able to play at a bigger venue now, which I absolutely hate. Not specifically talking about the Toad tour, but like 3 bands that would each normally play a 2,500 capacity club end up playing a 20,000 capacity amphitheater, and it ends up not being close to half full. So the crowd is sparse for the venue, and the bands that are playing don't have a big enough sound/stage setup to fill the space anyway since they weren't blockbuster bands to begin with. And then the band you like the most isn't necessarily playing last and plays like half a set of only hits since 2/3 of the crowd doesn't give a shit about them. It's a terrible, terrible concept.
