Is it just me or does everyone think the money from the reissue poster sales should be donated to the cause of that show

It says that proceeds go to charity, so I think that’s probably the plan?

    All for it.

But I’ve never really cared much about rarity/exclusivity for the sake of it.

If you bought the poster because you liked it, liked the memory of the show or Roi, none of that changes. If you missed it because of the limited nature, then it’s a great opportunity to get the artwork.

If you bought it for the sake of rarity, I don’t care at all.

I think all of the merch from these drive-ins go to the charities that open the streams with.

Initially they posted that all merch proceeds would go to bamaworks, but I’ve noticed that they haven’t been consistently stating this in the description for the past coupla months...regardless of the item.

My brother owns all the physical media the band has put out. It makes for very easy birthday and christmas gift ideas. I help him out with all the digital releases, and I get to rip most of the physical stuff he has.

Only show poster (at this time) in the band's history that deserved a reprint. Only 425 in the original run.

Just gotta say... I think it's amazing that they played So Damn Lucky, a song about a car crash, the night before LeRoi crashed his ATV. And, in a way, it seems appropriate that the last song Mr. LeRoi Moore performed publicly was Thank You. Thank YOU, Roi, for all the beautiful music you left behind for us to discover!

Show was kind of rough and I lost interest after Dreaming Tree but it's still the right pick, I liked the intro with Dave and introducing the people whose foundations DMB was supporting. The stage design in 2008 was pretty good.

Yeah last night definitely got the emotions going during Ants and Thank You thinking about it being his last show. Weird how the 08 stage is better than the 18 stage a decade later lol

Was at that show. Terrible. The band was flat, rolling through the motions. For one of their largest venues and one of a handful of sellouts on that tour, they definitely didn't rise to the occasion. I had way more fun at Memphis the week before and it was a truncated vanilla festival set.

I was able to snag one. Was about to try and snag a handful but didn't think that was fair. I know if I were on the other side of that, I would look down on it.

As far as the original question you have - If I were on the flip side (25th anniversary, limited luther college, several live trax) I think I would see it as a minor annoyance. I wouldn't like the decision but I wouldln't mind the decision because I know on the flip side of this conversation, that I would want to snag one. If it was not a limited re-release, then I would be pretty upset.

If they don’t do a Gorge show 2 weeks from now either on the Drive In or Sirius, it’s a missed opportunity.

I'm not usually one to think much about it, but if they had just dropped TGIY and moved WWYS to open, and then replaced You&Me and Can't Stop with ANYTHING--even just 1 song to replace both (Spaceman>Cornbread, for example)--set would be a lot nicer to look back on.

Agreed! I’ve been holding out hope that they will show 3 Gorge shows on each night (Fri, Sat, Sun) but that is wishing thinking I think.....

    EDIT: forgot the obligatory IMO

Current DMB plays DDTW way too hard and too fast the whole time, '08 DDTW was better, there are a ton of songs played incredibly well in which I don't think they are any more or less relaxed with their product. For example, GiG and LLD along with many other slow and jazzy type parts of songs.

Still much too fast, but at least Tim's electric wasn't at the forefront.

It was best as a near dirge, the Leave Me Praying version and the album version were so much better than what the song has evolved into... The proper tempo and core instrumentation and this song is damned near a masterpiece.

Dreaming Tree was great, but they really need to get those high harmonies back in there. Does Buddy do them on the more recent versions? Never had the privilege of seeing this live. Just checked, I see the band hasn't played in live since 2015...freaking travesty that.

Tim's electric being at the forefront was the main reason I couldn't get fully into their sound for years, '08 was before that happened and it's far better now. I like DDTW driving a bit with all falsetto's until the last belt, that being said Leave Me Praying was really cool and the album version is obviously great

It's incredible live, SPAC '08 was the best version of it I've seen in person and probably my favorite version overall.
