Pre-season testing underway in Barcelona. Not surprised to see Mercedes at the top of the list.

Love the trick steering on the Merc. I’m guessing they have something even crazier on the car, so they showed their hand on this early to get other teams looking at the steering and spending money to counter.

Nobody's sure if it is going to really have an impact on lap times. They will probably wait until Melbourne to see if it make a difference. If it does, they'll have some serious catching up to do.

Week two testing continuing. Pretty eventful morning with a lot of spins, but a pretty tame afternoon. Although the Mercedes crapped out after only one lap for Hamilton.

Ferrari has been pretty meh last week and this week. Wonder if they're sandbagging or if they really are in trouble this year.

That does it for preseason testing. Midfield looks to be pretty interesting this year.

Season opens this week. I'm surprised that they haven't postponed or cancelled anything because of the coronavirus. They haven't even mentioned it on the official F1 website.

Bahrain has taken the decision to hold this year’s Grand Prix as a participants-only event - part of a wider set of proactive measures implemented by the country to limit the virus’ spread. Bahrain will also implement screening procedures on entry and specialist medical facilities onsite, as well as enhanced sanitation at the circuit, additional hand washing stations and specific medical protocols to manage any suspected cases of COVID-19.

The Chinese Grand Prix, originally slated for 17-19 April, has been postponed.

I hope I’m wrong, but when this is all said and done the amount of people who died because we needed sports to go on is going to be tragic.

I agree. I think the NBA did the right thing and the NHL, MLB, FIFA, MLS and F1 should all do the same.

Shaping up to be a pretty crazy silly season with Vettel leaving Ferrari after this season. Looks like Ricciardo is also set to make a move. The waterfall of movement seems imminent now.

I recently binge watched the F1 series on Netflix and I am hooked.

Never cared a lick about racing, but now I've been watching old F1 broadcasts on YouTube. Love it.

I was going to post this yesterday, but didn't get around to it. Sainz to Ferrari, Ricciardo to McLaren. Things are going to heat up quickly. Let the merry-go-round begin!

It is pretty cool watching the old races. I especially like the ones from the 80's.

I've watched a lot of Senna docs. The tribute at last year's Brazil was pretty awsome.

Looks like Alanso is not the only one Renault is targeting; Bottas’s manager apparently met with them too. 2021 could have some very different lineups, and possible no Haas is they don’t perform better.

Back-to-back at Silverstone should be interesting too. All races to be supported by F2 and F3 as well. Hope they are quick with the rest of the schedule. I would hate if an 8 race schedule decided the championship.

I was thinking the same thing. Eight races is hardly enough to determine a championship. I think the article said they were still working on the rest of the schedule, but I don't think they said how many races total there are going to be. I am looking forward to the back-to-back at Silverstone.

Absolutely bonkers Grand Prix today. Can’t believe that Lewis got Albon again just like in Brazil. Super happy for Norris and McLaren. Insane number of retirements today.

Fun race. Happy to have F1 back on a holiday weekend where NASCAR is racing at Indy. I'm still missing my Memorial Day weekend fix of Monaco-Indy 500-Coke 600, but today's action will have to suffice.

Was so busy over the weekend, I didn't see any of the race. Checked out the highlights on F1.com and am bummed I missed it. Was really happy to see Norris get his first podium. McLaren come back in 2020?

Daniel Ricardo is looking good for next year if that happens.

Yeah, they were dialed in again. Ferrari are having a disaster start to the season too.

I am happy to see that McLaren, Renault and Racing Point seem to have improved a lot this year. I actually think Racing Point could challenge podiums at some point this season.

    As for Williams and Haas....yikes.

All of these. Can't say I'm surprised by the Mercedes 1-2. I really feel bad for the Haas and Williams guys. Midfield looks super competitive though. Glad to see Norris with another strong finish.

Hamilton and Mercedes just on a different universe from everyone else. Max’s team really saved him today too. Lance Stroll was actually impressive too holding his own.

Biggest surprise for me was Haas’s call to pit and get Kevin in the points today. It was cool seeing them up in the top 5 for a while. I really want Haas to stay in F1.
