Debating about seeing BNL or not this summer. They were my first favorite band before DMB took over. They held on for a few years after Steven Page left but now they are just a shell of themselves.

Not a rumor, but I’m assuming Labor Dave weekend at the Gorge is a go?

Thanks to everyone for all of the great work here. Just checked on StubHub to see if we'd have any hints and Charlotte on 5/20 now shows up along with Woodlands on 5/13. Hopefully more will start popping up soon!

I was trying to upload a screenshot as evidence but couldn't get the file size small enough for Ants upload limits (making me feel old).

Hmm. I still only see Woodlands. Charlotte only shows up under the tribute band, as noted earlier.

it's a fun show, though and coupled with Toad and Gin and it's a no-brainer for me.

Denzel Curry and Glass Animals seem likely as well looking at the tour dates.

It’s crazy but my mind usually goes to the same place when I see a brand new account come in with info. It makes me wonder if there’s ever people that randomly join and post info and are all “who the hell is Brenny”

I went to LSOE 2012 in Dallas and saw them. I mainly went to see Blues Traveler, but enjoyed seeing BNL too.

They're a band we enjoyed seeing in the past, saw them in Manchester NH when they were only the 2nd concert at the venue and Ed was all happy about sitting on the same toilet as Steven Tyler.

We've moved since, but do have their Raleigh show penciled in this summer as the "hey we can get $25 lawn seats and have no other plans, let's go"

As for DMB 22 tour, really hoping for a return to C'ville (went back in 01) as well as Raleigh/Charlotte nights (fingers crossed).

It doesn't matter they sell it out it's only 15K since they moved venues which means they aren't close to the top 10 in gross sales. Dave is about his money not sellouts lol. ATL currently isn't in a position to make Dave or promoters weekend gross sales money.

I mean normally I would say never assume anything but if the band is touring then they are playing the Gorge Sept 2-4! I’d say it’s a given!

I must have missed the 'Tribute' aspect of the listing - hadn't seen the earlier posts about it. Sorry for the mix up, I'll stick to lurking lol

10am has come and gone without a tour announcement. Cscottrun was right unfortunately. Guess that gives more time to get hotels, flights, etc squared away

I really do not understand the two week delay. Its not like tickets will not be available for purchase after the initial on sale date. If people do not feel comfortable buying tickets now for an outdoor concert in May thru August, they are never going to feel comfortable in two weeks. However, if they do feel comfortable, they still have the opportunity to buy tickets.

It would make more sense if people stopped assuming the delay has to do with COVID since that was never indicated. Although I am not sure why things were delayed, the little bit of info that was provided did not mention COVID as the reason for the delay. There's a million other reasons that could cause the delay (and we've seen this before, even on years without COVID). I get why people are immediately thinking COVID since we are in the middle of a pandemic but taking all things into account, as others have said, it doesn't make sense to delay strictly b/c of COVID.

Head and the Heart just launched a big summer/ fall tour this morning.

Announcement isn't delayed due to covid. Has to be other factors (certain dates still moving, album announcement, etc.)

Kind of Covid-related, but maybe they're holding off on announcing until after the Mexico shows? With all of the cancellations that have happened for Mexico shows, it may be bad optics to release tour dates, put tickets on sale, and then cancel D&T Mexico.

    So while I don't think it's Covid-going-into-the-summer related, I think maybe it's Covid-causing-Mexico-cancellation-potential-PR-disaster related.

Not that we will ever know for sure but I wonder if they had to shift some dates or were deciding on announcing the album with it and had to shore up some of those details (single to be released, album release date, items in pre order packages etc)

The rumor now is early February. It would have to be late February if they're waiting until after Mexico, so I don't think that's it.

If it's not COVID, then it makes sense that they might be holding off until they know the release date for the new album. It would be incredibly disappointing if they're still sorting out tour dates, because that's something they should have been working on LAST year knowing that there would be a lot of venue demand from artists who have avoided the road so far.

Yeah for some reason I had in my mind Mexico was the first weekend of February. Didn't realize it was later in the month.

I think they are waiting just for time to pass and see how it goes in NYC, Canada, California, etc., where things have been getting axed bc of Covid restrictions/concerns. Widespread and Phish both had their NYC gigs squashed and Umphrey's had their Miami NYE gig yanked. Canada is a total clown show right now so I wouldn't expect to see any Canadian dates whenever they do announce.

I think the opposite, actually. Canada features at least 1+ Zac Brown Band shows, 9 shows on the Slipknot tour, etc. Bands are playing. I'd expect DMB in Toronto and Vancouver at the least.

Canada is a total clown show right now so I wouldn't expect to see any Canadian dates whenever they do announce.
I don't at all think this is the reason. I think they'd rather have the money in hand, and then cancel or re-schedule if they need to.

There's tons of other potential reasons. For instance, maybe they don't have a contract in place with a venue they want to play and are negotiating it. Maybe a venue or festival came to them last minute and they are negotiating it. Maybe they are playing a festival and they want to announce their dates at the same time as the festival announces its lineup. Maybe there is a delay with the album. We really could go on and on...

It would be incredibly disappointing if they're still sorting out tour dates, because that's something they should have been working on LAST year knowing that there would be a lot of venue demand from artists who have avoided the road so far.
It will be well before Mexico unless it gets delayed again.

There is way more to it than the bolded. Trying to plan a tour is complicated no matter how early you start. Their typical tour comes together in November/December with tweaks going all the way up until the announcement date.
