Starting Season 3. I forgot how enjoyable Season 2 is once you get into it. It really plays so much better on a repeat viewing. I remember disliking it the first time through. I think it ends really strong though and it sets up all the storylines for Season 3 nicely. I still hate Ziggy though, he's so annoying.

Just finished Season 3 again. I would put the last 2 episodes of The Wire Season 3 against anything in television. It's just awesome.

2 might be my favorite season. i liked that they moved on to the docks and stuff. was a refreshing perspective after being trapped in the hood for a season.

I recently watched the entire series beginning to end. I really felt a connection with so many different characters. Everyone from the cops to the corner kids to the bosses. I really feel like I miss some of them now that the show is over.

Same here. Although in terms of the drug dealers, much more with the Avon and Stringer group than Marlo. There were never the shades of gray with Marlo that we saw with Avon and Stringer.

I just finished watching it Sunday. The last few episodes got interesting. The rest sucked. I guess I can see where it could setup season 3, but overall it was disappointing. Ziggy can eat a dick. Easily the worst character ever invented.

I was never a huge fan of Marlo and I really disliked Stringer Bell, mostly because of D'Angelo. For some reason I really liked Chris and Snoop. Prop Joe is one of my all-time favorite television characters.

Really? I loved String. My favorite character from this show. Omar is a close second. Prop Joe is great too, I always wished he got a little more screen time than he did.

I hated season 2. Then I loved how the plot played out.

just finished season 2. i enjoyed it. it was a cool contrast from season 1, but i enjoyed how everything was still all tied in together. i'll probably have to download season 3, as i don't feel like waiting another month for it to show up on hbo ondemand. really disappointed in myself that i missed this show the first time around, but very glad that i decided to give it a try.

it's what i've been doing, but putting up half of season 2 and then waiting a month to put up the other half was ridiculous. i'll just download the rest of the seasons.

so are you just watching the show for the first time, as well?

Yep, first time, so I try not to be in here to avoid seeing something I don't want to see.

HBO had the first season up all at once. I basically watched the entire first season over a Saturday which was pretty awesome. I don't know why they split season 2 up in the manner they did. They should just put the damn shows up to watch.

Season 2 got better towards the end, but I am not sure what I think about the S2 finale. I guess that will depend a lot on how season 3 progresses. I like the Avon and Stringer angle a lot more than the docks angle, which is probably why I liked the later episodes of Season 2.

i did the same exact thing. watched all of season 1 in about 2 days. got hooked, so i was pumped for season 2. and then they only put up half the season. i guess i could just go out and buy them, but who wants to do something like that?

yeah, season 2 did drag in the middle a bit, but it seems like they set it up nicely for season 3. the whole stringer/avon east/west conflict, plus the subplot with omar. more screen time for omar is a definite plus.

    Same. Snoop was annoying.

i really like prop joe because he's so smart and doesn't really floss or go out on killing sprees like marlo and avon so hes not even on the cops radar

You 2 will both enjoy Season 3 though. Basically your posts are why Season 3 is my favorite.
