As long as you are with a group of people you really don't have to worry. Since there should be a ton of people from the show also taking the subway, this should not be a problem.

    cheers.
You can buy the VIP tickets but cant buy the beer, they will have a wristband setup as with any other show to prove your 21 or older
Food for VIP will be basically BBQ/picnic type stuff, like hot dogs hamburgers, chciken, salads, beans, beer wine, water, soda(pop), its unlimited and its served throughout the show, I assume it will be the same as with CP and GGP in that sense.

Heres a good site to check out for info on the island and directions and such

    http://www.risf.org/

    http://www.risf.org/direction2.html

Not sure if it will be at the Icahn stadium, because the X on the Warehouse map is so helpful , if you go by the X it will prolly be at the baseball fields. Maybe ballfields 8/11/12 area since VIP parking is to be close to main entrance to the event and there is a parking lot right at # 11

and alittle map i cropped from ny transit

    http://www.antsmarching.org/forum/at...chmentid=23999

The only public transportation is by taking the M35 bus from the 125th street 4,5 or 6 subway station or walk a block east from the Metro North 125th st train stop, since thats the only bus that gets off on the island.
    (see above)
O yeah a ferry (i think) and Taxicabs (which will prolly cost a fortune) and of course on foot which shouldnt be to much of a problem seeing as alot of people will be doing the same thing ,just dont stray to far from the pack (like some others have said)

100% sure because they have each night listed separately and I just called and they confirmed that, the website with all add'l info should be up within the week , so she claims, they are currently working on it now, She was not sure on what other bands though but other info as far as seating chart and parking etc... will be there

I wouldn't worry about the subway at night. There will be tons of people riding when the show lets out and there is always safety in numbers. When I went there a few years ago I don't remember feeling threatened at all.

Yea, me too. I'd say they've gotta announce some acts by Friday or Monday. Either that, or people that aren't sure like me won't know what to do about ordering from the WH. The orders are due by April 7th. Thats in a week.

That's why its VIP. The price for VIP was $250 for CP and GGP, and this seems to be the same type of deal. Food and Drinks included as well as a preferred viewing area, I'm not surprised at all with the price. If it was lower, a lot more people would request it and I think that would create a lot of problems and bitching.

Upper east side is definitely NOT a cheap place to stay. If you're willing to travel 10-20 minutes more, you can stay in other parts of the city that are cheaper. It may just require to switch subway lines a couple times, which really isnt a big deal.

So how is everyone going to get to the island? Driving will most likely be ugly, so I'm hoping there is some good mass transit out of there. Buses, perhaps?

I really want to go to these shows now, but transportation is the only thing really holding me back.

    Is VIP available through ticketmaster?

Penn would be ideal since I could take the train 5 minutes from my house and end up there in a little short of an hour and a half. I want to avoid driving at all costs though. Driving in the city isn't fun if you're not used to it.

When I sent a question to the warehouse ticketing, this is the response I got.

    ======
    Wes,

We do not have a seating chart available for Randall's Island at this time. The VIP ticket includes prime seats near the front of the main stage and a separate spacious party area with food and beverages. There will be additional amenities which we will post as they become available. As well we will post the additional acts performing on each date as they become available. Hope this helps!

Please let us know if we can be of additional assistance!
    Thanks!

What happens if you order vip tickets, get denied because they sell out (limit seating) and dont get reserved seats. Could it happen? I doubt that many people would throw down $250 a pop, but NYC, lots of people, summer time, it could sell out of those.
