I really hope the second Wild Card goes to Rockies or Brewers. Please do not let it be the Cards. The only good Cardinal is Dexter Fowler. Everyone else is just the worst.

yeah Cards in playoffs is always worst case scenario, even if Milwaukee can't make it in this year I hope we keep STL out of it

Don't worry. Cubs will take care of that Cardinal scum once and for all next week.

who does everyone have for MVPs? I thought for the longest time it had to be altuve but I think judge should win (wouldn't be a huge outrage if altuve won though). and I think bryant in the NL.

It really comes down to whether you think it's about consistency (Altuve) or the best overall season when it's all said and done (Judge). Judge obviously had that big slump from mid-June to mid-August but he leads the AL in basically every offensive category except for hits. Even during his slump he was still taking his walks and his OBP is excellent.

I think Altuve will probably win it but wouldn't be surprised if Judge does. As a Yankees fan I'd like to see Judge win but unless he hits another 5 HRs the next week I think the midseason slump hurts his chances too much.

Kris Bryant? He isn't the MVP on his own team.

Rizzo has had a significantly better year than Bryant. I don't think Rizzo will get the MVP, but he is the cubs MVP this year.

Nobody that has actually watched the Cubs this year would agree with you, but OK .

Rizzo is not a poor baserunner, at all. He is a GG defender and has 109 RBI's compared to 73. Rizzo has 30+ doubles, 30+ home runs, and has driven in 100+.

Bryant has really struggled with RISP this year while Rizzo has been really clutch.

    http://m.mlb.com/news/article/252188...-nl-mvp-award/

    http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/k...cubs-2017-mvp/

"Manager Joe Maddon threw his support behind Rizzo in the NL race, making it clear whom he considers the Cubs’ MVP. Rizzo, on fire at the plate the last few weeks, has become only the fourth Cubs player to have 30 doubles, 30 homers and 100 RBI in at least three seasons."

Will the Red Sox have as many playoff wins as the Braves will this year? Hard to say.
