I know this won't happen for him, but our 11 yr-old will be with us at Bristow, and two of his favorite songs regardless of artist are:

&
- Time Bomb

If the band played these there, it would make the show extra special for him.

I know it's early, but the sets have been pretty repetitive, although solid. It always appears more repetitive because most of us, (me included) look at the set from each show. Song placement has been mixed up which is good though.

People are letting Jeff know about it on Instagram consistently. Literally on his post right after the FL show last night even. Jeff seems to get pretty pissed and even responds to them. Its not just us on here noticing a lot repeats. Catalogue is too big to be limited. Same song and dance every year

It definitely has been a tour where less songs were played this deep into 22 than 21. However if someone was flying to texas or Bama or Mississippi or any one night stand and expecting all these crazy spreads they are out of their mind.

10 years ago today is care in point. Hartford N2 in 2012 was a turning point in the tour and the 2nd night of a 2 night stand. It is the 2nd highest viewed full band copperpot show and top 5 in all copperpot main page shows.

Saturday is really the first regular season game of the tour and everything prior was the preseason. This was a heck of a preseason with a higher amount of repeats than the average tour.

There were tons of tickets on cash or trade/WH Boards below face value for the preseason especially for Brandon, MS. Some people were given free uppers to opening night in a few occasions. A couple did a Vlog for the Dallas show and someone in the community hooked them up with free tickets:

Point in case: After charlotte 2021, I went to a cigar lounge. Only white guy in there. First guy I talk to, without skipping a beat, says "You must have been at that white boy band show".

I had a very nice older black couple in front of me at Deer Creek last year, I almost wondered if they were guests of Buddy as they both sported his shirt and mask combo. They were super in to the show, so it was nice to see a little diversity.

The person I've seen the most shows with (39 and counting. 44 by the end of summer) is black. There have been many shows where another black person will have a "holy shit" moment and ask to take a picture together cuz there's another black person at a DMB show.

I'm black and I just met a few other black fans who saw my youtube channel and now we have a Wayne Brady/Dave Chapelle "black dmb fans gotta stick together crew" lol. Now I know at least 4 black people that have been to over 50+shows which is cool. Also Phish at MSG 2022 was less black in the crowd than DMB at MSG last November.

The Gorge surprisingly had a lot more black people there than I thought I figured I was gunna be 1 of 3 black people there all weekend in 2019 seemed like more black folks there in 2021.

It’s such a strange one, that’s for sure. Some really good songs but in the entire set never really makes it off the ground. Let’s just say I’m happy I saw Tampa last year vs this year.

Glad I made the two shows I did, and I feel for those who were gonna go tonight.

But my thoughts on the tour so far is that it is decent, although devoid of Dave pushing himself. They have a huge catalog, and only choose a few base songs each year and change out smaller ones every few shows. I wish the entire catalog was on the table every show. I'd love to hear JTR one night randomly, or heck, even a bust out from AFTW (a severely underrepresented album IMO) or a deep cut from ED. Whip out So Right again, or Captain, or If I Had It All. Play PNP into another song again, or try out a full band Let You Down and just have Dave sing it. I'd rather see a song attempted and not be perfect than get the same 15 tunes each show.

Set list placement is cool, and the encores (at least the two I saw) were definitely better than last year, although it would be cool to have a few other heavy hitters close out the night as well.

I love diet-Jimi this year and hope it sticks around as it is now. I love all the new tunes (although I think TOT had a better chorus last year... it flowed so much better.) I could really use Break For It at a show, but have missed it by one show both nights I went so far this year. Outside of JTR and BS, it's my most chased tune.

Anyway, that's really it. I just wish the band would push themselves a little harder. I wanna hear new interpolations, new jams, new arrangements... something. The two biggest DMB fans I know are hanging it up this year, and it really opened my eyes to the complaints that people have. I've been going since 2002, and steadily since Buddy joined in 2018. I still have Jax left this tour (provided they are able to play by then), but I'm definitely going to start cutting back.

Love the band, and love the music. There's just a lot of other groups out there right now doing interesting stuff whose ticket prices aren't almost $200 a seat.

Doesn't look that bad to me. The Maker, Sweet (with the current outro,) Idea of You, Walk Around the Moon, The Dreaming Tree, Break Free...lots of good songs there. Only a couple real land mines, too. We've seen many worse sets in recent years.
