Can someone school me on Jones Beach? The view straight on from the seats looks magnificent but I saw some side photos and saw what looked like a truck depot to the left if facing the stage. How is traffic and tailgating? What is the easiest way and what would the commute be if I came driving from the Bridgeport CT area? I didn't see a 2021 thread. Thanks much.

I've got one ticket for sale, section 21. Send me an offer and I'll likely take it!

Today was the original rescheduled date… and it’s NOT raining! Although it’s a heat wave and the forecast called for thunderstorms all day so would’ve been enough to stress the weather watchers out lol without fail the weather sucks even for rescheduled shows 😂

Planning to add this one to my shows now that I'll be close-by that day for work. Anyone have recommendations on some cheaper hotels worth booking within reasonable distance to the venue? Last time I stayed at the Marriott next to Nassau Coliseum, which I enjoy & its convenient for me to get back out of LI the next morning.. but that one is usually on the pricier side for the nightly rates. Same goes for the other bigger hotels near Westbury area.

Also looking for a single if anyone is trying to move one.

I posted this in the DMB Jones Beach Facebook group when someone asked a similar question:

'm local to the venue. Most will recommend the Marriot in Uniondale. That's a good/large/reputable hotel here with easy access to the venue (2 min drive from the hotel to the parkway and then about a 15 min drive to the venue). If you want a really nice hotel, then try the Viana Hotel in Westbury (also fairly close to the venue, but not as close as the Marriott). Other hotels, with easy access, but about a 20 min drive include Holiday Inn, Homewood Suites, and several other name brands in Garden City/Carle Place (Garden City/Carle Place has relatively easy access to the parkway that runs to the venue). If all else fails, there are also a couple of hotels in Rockville Center (which is a nice town, plenty of restaurants, etc.), including Hampton Inn, but the ride to the venue will be longer (about 20-25 minutes). Finally, Long Beach, which is very close to the venue but is kind of a beach town off on its own (but nevertheless a nice town, especially if your stay is short), has a couple of hotels, but if you're going to look there, I would stick to the Allegria Hotel. Stay away from off-brand or privately owned hotels (outside of the Allegria and Viana).

Honestly, stay away from the off brand no name hotels. They are really shitty here. Whatever you do, do NOT go to the Coliseum Inn (which is down the block from the Marriott). Drug den.

There's also a Best Western in Massapqeua (not too far from the venue). There's a red roof inn in Garden City that appears pretty reasonably priced for the night of the show. Also an Econo Logde in Hicksville.

Thank you! Not on the FB group but this info is great. I know the area pretty well, enough to know it can get sketchy quick depending which direction you go. Only, ever stayed at the Coliseum Marriott & the newer Marriott across Eisenhower park (by BWW). Not sure if there were some cheaper ones to save a few $ or just play it safer and go with the typical ones.

I live in Lynbrook, which is about 15 min drive to the venue. There are some decent hotels in Rockville Center. As mentioned stay away from that drug den. Uniondale is not the best of neighborhoods. There are lots of hotels just depends how far you want to be and how much you want to spend.

Oh wow, we are minutes from each other. Very cool.

Also: absolutely no need to stay in Uniondale unless it's the Mariott

I’m from East Meadow. Didn’t realize there were a few active Long Islanders on here.

Yeah I grew up in Riverhead but now live in the Hudson Valley. Was in Westbury during college and spent a lot of time at the Coliseum for Isles games so pretty familiar with most parts of the surrounding area. Definitely don't mind staying at the Uniondale Marriott again, or the drive a little further West. Just never really looked into the other 'cheaper' hotels in the area.
Appreciate the info from everyone and will def get one of the more mainstream hotels booked.

Me neither! Lived in East Meadow for years a while back while at Hofstra. In Seaford now. And agree with all your hotel intel.

Oh yea? Nice. If you feel comfortable sharing, I’m curious where. I was working in the City for the past few years (remotely during Covid) but I just took a job at RXR across from the coliseum.

There is a burger place not far that is pretty well known:

All American is amazing. If anyone is looking for sit down meals, try SALT in Merrick, right in the water and closer to venue. If anyone likes Mexican, try Mesita in Rockville Center.

Thanks a lot! This will be perfect.

Looking forward to being at the venue, it looks gorgeous from the pics. Hopefully they bust out some rarities at SPAC that make their way over to Jones Beach!
