What do you all recommend of recent releases? Really open to anything - movies, documentaries, or even TV series. Would rather come here than FB because I've come to learn that most of my Facebook circle will just end up recommending mostly things that I have already seen.

Here are some movies that are worth watching:
The Dig (Netflix)
Nomadland (Hulu)
Judas and the Black Messiah (HBO Max)
The Map of Tiny Perfect THings (Amazon Prime)
TV Shows:
Mare of Easttown
Mythic Quest (good comedy if you have any interest in the gaming industry)
Drive to Survive (Netflix documentary covering the last 3 season of Formula 1 racing)

Inside and Shiva Baby are the only two I'm particularly enamored with though.
As for TV, my top 5 of 2021:
1. Loki
2. Mare of Easttown
3. Invincible
4. WandaVision
5. Hacks
I've also heard nothing but great things about Barry Jenkins' Underground Railroad, but it will likely be a few weeks before I get around to it. I'm currently plowing through The Handmaid's Tale for the first time, after which I'm prioritizing some 2020 series I still need to catch before Emmy nominations are announced next month.

I've followed The Handmaid's Tale since the beginning and I'm convinced that it's torture porn.
