LT10 is one of my top shows I listen to. People here just blatantly hate anything 2005+

No argument from me. 2008 post leroi - 2016 is hot garbage. I'm not talking LT releases, just overall DMB. Buddy joining really did a major course correction. 2021 was the best year since he joined. I only expect it to get better.

I’m going to assume LT 59 will be near the bottom here. not sure we needed another 14 show. And certainly not 8 releases after the last one we had, which was also out of left field.

My faves came in the latter 1/3 so far! I think 40-50 is the best run of releases they’ve done in the series.

There’s so many at this point I’m not going to spend the time to rank all what 60+, but I’ve listened recently to the two most “recently” released Live Trax from Hartford, #47 and #57, and they are stupendous. The LIOG from 6.8.97 w/Bela is peak DMB (and hell maybe Bela too).

Random thought on LT63 - I was happy to see Alpine 2012 as LT63 but I have a tough time hearing Boyd for this specific show after he’s been gone for so many years. Maybe others are also thinking that. Lot of iffy moments from him.

What do you mean a tough time hearing him? Just because it makes you miss their sound when he was still with them or because he was particularly bad during this specific show?

Honestly, ya! But nothing is really terrible in my opinion. I think we all accepted it for a long time and didn't really know how off he was until some time had passed.

But go listen to shows from the 90's and it's more or less the same way any given night. I just listened to LT 54 today from 96. Primo DMB, and he's off here and there. And same with some of the DMB live shows.

And he's off on this latest release LT 64 too.

Did you ever listen to the tape? Or was this the first time hearing it? I think it's probably in the top 5 most asked for shows in the "I know know, but next Live Trax" thread consistently. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone the songs or performance.

I think the overall sound is amazing and the energy is through the roof. Understand if the set isn't your cup of tea though.
