Honestly, this sounds like exactly what I was expecting it be. Kudos to them for making it I guess but this isn't for me.

Speaking of the A League of Their Own series, here is a good article in Sports Illustrated that talks about the 30th anniversary of the movie and how the series came into development. It's a nice write-up of the impact that the movie has had since it was released.

Yeah, the movie is a foundational childhood memory for me. My mom and I still quote it to each other to this day.

A League of Their Own was filmed 20 miles up the road from me. The kid who played Stilwell was a local. Apparently playing a complete brat as a child became his go-to pickup line with the ladies.

Nothing like the part where Hanks hits him with the glove and laughs maniacally.

I fucking hated every character on that show other than the younger son. I have no idea why i finished it lol. I guess i was hoping/waiting for a satisfying payoff. Unless its a completely different cast there is zero chance I'll watch a second season of it.

Finished The Americans. Thought it was great start to finish. Was Renee a Russian spy? Didn't think the kid's storyline took over to any detriment to the show. Poor Oleg, he was my favorite character.

Looks like Hulu has The Shield up next. Sounds good, been meaning to watch for years since everyone compared Walter White to the Chiklis character.

I think I need to rewatch The Americans in the nearish future. I completely forgot about Renee's character.

Fantastic series and definitely one of my favorite series finales.

the Shield is cable's OG antihero. It's a lot like the Sopranos in that its raw early on and stumbles at times, but that's growing pains of being the first to do it. Last 2 seasons could have been condensed into one. When the show is good, its fucking incredible. And it's almost always good.

And it sticks the landing. It's the best series finale of this class of shows imo

I wish I could watch The Shield for the first time again. We were in high school and literally had to hide the fact that we were watching it when it first aired because we knew our mom wouldn’t let us watch it if she knew what kind of content was on there.

Amazing show, never had an extended lull in quality, and the series finale is an all time great.

Totally agree. I didn't even watch until the end. Season 2 will have Aubrey Plaza and Michael Imperioli.

Just finished Bosch: Legacy on Amazon Prime. Have 4 more episodes of Ozark left.

Next up on the list are Damages and Southland. Never watched either of those.

The Shield and The Americans are in my top 3 shows.

Watching the Teo documentary. I guess I had stopped watching any type of media where people just talk about sports at that point, so I didn't really hear anything about this story other than like a comment here on there on Ants along the lines of "Lol, Teo got catfished."

Teo seemed like a genuinely good kid. Really sick shit, the depths to which that woman lied. I can't believe she had the guts to come on this doc and tell the story.

Is there a funnier season of television than Season 4 of Always Sunny? Had started to re watch the show and I guess I didn’t realize how many classic comedy episodes were in the one season.
