Is there anywhere solid enough to look at centrally between the two destinations? Also any recommended golf courses around that same area (nothing special, just an average course for some hackers)? Any other info on the area, places to checkout is also very much appreciated. It will by my sister and her bf's first show, excited for them to get the experience!!!

Golf Courses - Honey Bee and Stumpy Lake are right by the venue. I am not a golfer so can't tell you much more.
Things to do:
Tons of breweries - Farmhouse and New Realm (VB) The Veil (Norfolk) are probably the best for places to hang
Restaurants - VB - Chix oyster bar, Casual Pint for beers (right across from venue), Park Lane Tavern.
Norfolk - Grain (rooftop bar), Waterside has a bunch of restaurants
Not sure what else you are looking to do. There is a zip lining at the Adventure Park. I would probably say go chill at one of our many beaches. Chesapeake Bay (Shore Drive) is relaxing/easy parking. Oceanfront - if you want to avoid paying for parking, go to the North End (past 43rd street)
