Also, agreed. Not wanting to go down this road but it’s strange to me that for as long as he’s been playing, he only seems to have regressed to a more simplistic style with songs like “Do You Remember” and “That Girl Is You” instead of expanding his knowledge whereas most guitar players would have mastered the guitar inside-out by now. Imagine Dave shredding a solo on electric. People would lose their shit. Can’t Timmy teach him a thing or two? Lol

“Shredding” was just a figure of speech. And although that may be the case, he still plays it safe with his finger style.

I just think at this point he is more driven to write songs like Here on Out than the next Two Step / Last Stop live monster, similar style playing in Here on Out and Bismarck and a few others. I think 2010-2015ish was the fastest I've ever seen him strum and it seemed to be something he was developing, now the fingerstyle stuff seems to be what he likes to do.

I agree it would be great to see him do more filler stuff at the end of songs like #41

Sometimes I wish Dave would have done the UTTAD intro to Warehouse back in the late 90s/early 2000s when his voice was stronger because it's so much better than the "woo" intros and he could have waited his ass off. I also love how he switches up the lyrics now, kind of how Two Step intros used to be.

You're right. It's pretty wild. Also add on that it was the first year back after only performing once together in 2017.

Would you have preferred a different studio CD? Cause giving away their latest studio efforts makes no sense. Seems like they should've given everyone copies of big whiskey, everyday or stand up instead.
