This is true.

It's about friggin time that Ivan Rodriguez start hitting because its been like 5 years since he had a decent hitting year.

    That's true.

I've always liked Pudge. He seems like a really classy guy.

Jeter's never lost? They haven't won the World Series since 2000.

Jeter is a .317 career hitter. Guillen is .264

And Guillen played on Seattle his whole career. Not a bad team...

I never said I was comparing Jeter to Guillen. I just think that Jeter is overrated. He hits for average. That's about it. Sure, he has the leadership skills, but as far as making everyone on the team better? I don't know. He's played with some damn good players. Put him on the Pirates or the Royals, then see how good he makes everyone. Until that happens, I think he has gotten more credit than he deserves, IMO.

You have a deathwish, my friend.

Someday, I'd love to do a ballpark tour, see Fenway, Camden, Wrigley, PNC.

The 2nd most beautiful ballpark I've ever been to (Yankee Stadium being #1 of course) if PacBell (even thought it's not called that anymore) in San Fran, absolutely gorgeous stadium.

I went to a Yankees/Red Sox game IN Fenway in 2001 (Yankees won), but walking in there decked out my Yankee gear - HOLY SHIT can Sox fans be assholes. They don't just yell at you and boo you, they lace into you personally. Handfuls of peanuts getting thrown at me, empty bottles - plus some 40 year old guy with his 11 year old son came up to me and my friend and said "how about you and your friend get the fuck out of here you pieces of shit!" - I said "Nice mouth man, right in front of your son, you set a great example for how little class this city has". I really think if he wasn't with his kid this fuckin 40 year old was going to pick a fight with my friend and who were 18 at the time.

But you better believe that when the Yanks too the lead for good late in the game my friend and I were letting everyone around us hear about it.

Now, not that I'm justifying that kind of behavior from the Sox fans (I honestly think a lot of them are just atrocious), but you're not exactly innocent yourself going in full Yankee gear. You knew exactly what was going to happen, so you can't really act shocked that it did. I have two friends from back home - one's a huge Sox fan, one's a huge Yankee fan - who both came up for a game @ Fenway a few weeks ago. I expected my Yankee loving fan to come in full Yankee regalia, but he had nothing Bronx related on at all when he arrived. I asked why, and he said "That's just kind of a dick move, and there's no need to cause any trouble for no reason."

What exactly were you wearing? A hat would be acceptable, if you were Yankees head to toe that would be pretty lame anyway, no matter where you were. I try to limit articles of sports related clothing to one a day.

Oh and sorry about the obnoxious fans...don't think the behavior you witnessed reflects on the entire community, we're not all fight-pickin dickheads who swear in front of children...that's just the Massholes. :

Manny's good, but he's an arrogant prick. I wouldn't mind seeing him off the team. And Nomar totally blows - one of the most overrated players in MLB. I was so happy when he wasn't playing at the beginning of the year and I really hope he gets traded off soon.

    And you know Schilling's great.

I know Schilling's great - thats why I really had nothing to back my comment up about him. It's a respected kind of hatred.

I do know what I'm getting into when I wear a Yankee cap and jersey to a game, and I'm willing to be a participant in some verbal spouting if its logical. Some guy with his kid coming up to me and just cursing me about is a totally different story. And as for throwing shit at another fan? Nobody who goes to any ballgame should have to endure that, that's just classless I don't care what city you're in.
