In Oklahoma, you could get high ABV beers at the liquor store. However, they were sold at room temperature. Gas stations and grocery stores sold cold beer, but it was 3.2. As stated earlier, Oklahoma can now sell cold high ABV beer.
Question: what’s the atvantage of selling beer cold really? I mean unless you are going to pound one In the lot or some shit? (Lol you shouldn’t do this at all).

Is it because people want to drink them right away when you get home or were ever you’re going? Even then, they are going to get a little bit warm on the ride. So you still have to refrigerate them.

Slightly less cold beer when you get home is better than beer that takes an hour or more to get cold. You seriously don't understand the advantage to cold beer over room temperature beer?

I guess I’m viewing it from a travelers view. I will say that the panhandle doesn’t stay blazing hot all year. It gets “cool” in the winter months. Not much colder then the high 40s low 50s at night. The summers are brutal but I can see how someone used to the extreme cold and want to get away could like a winter home in Florida.

No, just that it’s not that big of an issue. I’m not going to freak out if it takes an hour or two to get the beer cold. It’s like soda that’s not cold already.

Don’t really know the reasoning behind the law. It’s a dumb one imo

    What about Missouri?

I remember seeing porn shops as big as Walmart from the highway and the landscape did not look appealing.

My point with the beer thing is that it’s not a big deal if the beer is cold or not. Just as long as the gas station or whatever carries the beer I want. Making it cold by putting it the fridge for longer isn’t a big deal at all. Hell, just keep the fridge stocked.

Picking up a pack of beer on the way to a party that you would like to drink at sooner than two hours after you get there is just one example. Sometimes people don’t have a fully stocked beer fridge and need to buy it in a close proximity to drinking it. I don’t think it’s a terribly hard concept.

Mississippi, Kansas, Oklahoma are all the right answer. Alabama isn't far behind.

And as a native Floridian, I get why people hate this state. It isn't that great, but when you guys are freezing your ass off this winter and I'm strolling around in shorts and flip flops, I'll remember this thread.

Most states have some shitty things going on. Alabama and Mississippi at least have beaches and are relatively close to some better places. But what is one redeeming quality of Kansas? Oklahoma is probably 2nd. New Mexico at least has Sante Fe, but it ain't great. Utah is beautiful, that's just dumb. Florida has a lot of stupid stuff, but a lot of great stuff too.

    The answer is Kansas.

Now here is my idea. Force everyone from Kansas to move out. It really shouldn't be difficult. Build a wall around it, and just make Kansas the lone prison in the United States - it's basically a prison anyway.

It's not just the fat thing, they are also dumb as shit. The deep south is not all the same. It gets progressively worse the deeper south you go with Mississippi and Louisiana being right there in the deepest part of it.

You're confusing me here. You argue its greatness at the beginning of the sentence and its weakness at the end.

Yeah but it’s not that big of a deal. It’s better then them not caring certain beers at all. Not going to be a big problem when deciding what state I want to live in.

UT: only allowed one drink per hour, and you have to order food first.

UT: state mandated smart pour system, can’t have a drink made heavily.

    UT can blow me.

Missouri is basically a microcosm of America. Urban and liberal on both coasts, more rural and conservative in the middle, some pretty cool attractions and natural landscapes and also a lot of shitty areas. I don't think it's the worst; it's just the definition of average.

I agree with this assessment based on my four years of living in Missouri.

Oklahoma is also pretty awful. It's home but I'm glad I've moved away. Been gone for over ten years now.

Ohio is the little big state. A few cities that all think they are big cities but I'm all actuality they are mid majors. Definitely not the worst state.

Kansas was the worst state I've ever driven through. Never have a desire to do it again.

Tennessee and Kentucky aren't really big winners outside of their man-made lakes.

I've heard Rhode Island is a dump, but I've never been.

In Oklahoma, you could get high ABV beers at the liquor store. However, they were sold at room temperature. Gas stations and grocery stores sold cold beer, but it was 3.2. As stated earlier, Oklahoma can now sell cold high ABV beer.
They have 3.2 here in Colorado but it is just for grocery stores and gas stations.

Liquor stores can sell full strength. Anyone can chill their beer for sale.

It's a treat when I go home to Ohio to be able to pick up a case of beer at a gas station and know it's full strength.

    Re: What’s the worst state

I disagree that Tennessee should even be considered the worse state - it has Nashville (probably one of the best 15 cities in the country), and some of the most beautiful women (per capita, from my personal visit to the state) in the country.

I mean if we listed the worse 25 states here, many of them would have some redeeming qualities. Except Kansas.

I remember that now. That said, in Oklahoma, the Bud/Miller/Coors products were only offered in 3.2. At least in Colorado you can get it at full strength at the liquor stores. Not that these are incredible beers to get excited about the ABV content, but, it's nice having full strength cheap domestic beers for days by the pool and the golf course.

    Iowa is pretty useless.
