    Better song is Don’t You Forget About Me. It incorporates the 80s sound without sounding too dated, yet ironically gets points for essentially being the theme song for The Breakfast Club.

    btw, a bit off topic, but do any of you have a favorite overall 80s song, but that doesn't even come from anyone you'd consider within your top 15-20 bands of the 80s? I do. I fucking love "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" as the day is long, could listen to it on repeat god knows how often. But I don't even necessarily consider myself some kind of big Tears For Fears fan. I like maybe 3-4 of their tunes.

    No way. I heard that song countless times years before I ever saw The Breakfast Club.

    I mean sure, you can credit the movie for the reason it is such an iconic song, but it’s a legitimately good song even without the movie’s existence..

    I don't think he's saying you had to see the movie to have heard it, the movie and its soundtrack is certainly what propelled the band to popularity in the US. Very peculiar they never released the song on a studio album, but the hit "Alive & Kicking" certainly sounded a LOT like the Breakfast Club song.

    Either answer is acceptable IMO, they're both fantastic songs. a-Ha's debut album still holds up very well today and the 2010 remaster sounds great. Wish they'd remix the album into 5.1 like Simple Minds' Once Upon A Time (and Tears for Fears' Songs from the Big Chair).
