btw Jake, since you're going to genuinely try and set aside 4 whole hours soon to watch this cut I've made, I feel like it'd be prudent to make sure you were aware up front of a certain element to this. Granted, I'm
extremely glad to say that for the large majority of people who I've talked to, this has not been an issue or problem for them at all in enjoying it, but there is that minority that does exist. And I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I've got a funny feeling you may be in that minority
But anyway it's regarding the aspect ratio. The original of TWS film is 2.35:1 and the original of the series is 1.85:1. I couldn't within my editing software establish some sort of 'middle ground' so that this entire cut looked exactly the same. So my cut as it's played is in 1.85:1 so that technically, the movie footage is altered, it's stretched vertically. Honestly during the editing process that had never even occurred to me as a potential problem, cause it doesn't make the movie portions look that different to me. But as I've since discovered, there are unfortunately some people for whom this difference makes the entire thing utterly unwatchable.
However, also be aware that the first way I'd made this movie available was by torrent only, it wasn't until later I'd found the way to make the streaming viable (even though that was my best scenario back before I'd created this at all). That torrent is still very much up and running, a 3.6gb file in MP4 form.

and as I've brought up to some of the minority, if you get the movie this way, and watch it in VLC player, you can change the aspect ratio to 2.35:1. This of course puts the movie back to normal, then alters the TV stuff. But, and again ultimately this is just taste, but I personally think the change this creates in the TV stuff is less jarring or awkward than that it was to the movie stuff. And so while you can't have it with both ways, if it really might be an issue for you, this may be the best way to go.
sorry this is such a long post (shocker for me
) but I felt I needed to explain this properly.
