Re: ***Official Green Bay Packers Thread***

Looking forward to the playoffs baby!! I think yesterday's win did mean something in that our record is more impressive but more the fact that we are the only NFC division winner that finished the month of December with a winning record (3-1), so it does give us a bit more momentum heading in. Let's hope everyone gets rested and comes ready to play. Specifically Charles Woodson. I hope all this rest pays off for him because I could see him making huge plays for us in the playoffs.

As for the matchups, I would LOVE to welcome Hasselbeck and Holmgren back into Title Town and show them what's up, just like last time.

i'm just glad that the Pack can't see the redskins until potentially the NFC title game....i wouldn't want to mess with them.

I agree. The only scary teams in the NFC are the Skins and Cowboys.

Yep. Oh, and the Bears. Jesus Fuck, I'm glad they're not in the Playoffs this year. They seem to always catch us on our very worst days.

I'm not sold on the Seahawks yet either, although I haven't watched them much the last few weeks. They just seemed so suspect earlier in the year. The only team I'm really worried about is Dallas.

If dallas looses, I have tickets arranged for the NFC championship in Green Bay. I've got a place like 20 minutes north of there, so regardless the reveling will commense when GB brings the title back to title town.

This was such a great game.

"We want the ball and we're gonna score!"

    Could be Hasselbecks defining moment....

No doubt. That would be soo sweet. I predict a matchup with the Giants though, which I would love. Watching Harris and Woodson pick Eli apart would be delightful.

I'm rooting for the Giants and Skins this weekend, so we can get the easier matchup and Washington can go ahead and get Dallas out of the way.

Fuck, I want to face Eli. 4 Int's 2 Td's all time in the playoffs. He will suck balls and our corners, saftey, shit our D, is too good for him. We played both teams (Wash and the Gmen) so it really doesnt matter. I smell Super Bowl.

Read that article when it came out and it made me want to go to Lambeau that much more... Maybe next year I can make it to one if Brett returns again. Otherwise I'll have to wait a while.

So, where will everyone be watching the game this weekend? Any special traditions on Sundays (and Saturdays)? I'll be at my friend's house with piles of food for me to choose from and a sick huge ass flat screen on the wall.

i've had the privelege of seeing a couple games at lambeau, with the next coming on saturday for the divisional round game. i'm not even really a packer fan, but the only time i've really rooted against them was this year when they were neck and neck with dallas. and i will be rooting for them on saturday, cause i would love nothing more than for dallas and green bay to meet in the nfc championship. it really is a spectacular place to see a football game and i recommend going if you ever have the opportunity.

I've yet to decide where I'm going to watch it. Most of my friends are either Cowboys or Colts fans, so watching it with them is out of the question.

I was supposed to go to a game this year, but it didn't work out. I'm definitely going next year though, especially if Favre returns. I've already promised myself that if they make the Super Bowl this year though, I'll be there.

Don't feel bad. I live about 40 minutes from Lambeau and I am not going either. There are tickets available though if you want to rush up here.

Neh, like that excellent ESPN article stated...You don't want to rush a trip to Lambeau. There's no way I would be able to plan everything I want to do.

Yeah there are a lot of seats available. It seems that the 10,000 seats that usually go to Brown Co. residents in a lottery aren't available to them so the scalpers ended up with them.

It is a good idea to plan the trip. There is so much to see.

Besides the game they have the Packer Hall of Fame which is very well done and worth a visit, then there is tailgating and what not

EDIT: I don't know what else he had planned but there is a decent Casino there too and Door County is just outside the city, which has alot of nice parks

To be honest i may just watch it by myself because i get really tense and superstishious (sp) durint GB games. If people are talking and bothering me i get really upset.

So if you are sitting in the room with me you have to not talk and if they are winning stay there. If new people come in and GB is doing poorly they must leave.

.....or i could go get drunk and watch it with my friends i haven't decided yet
