I think Mocha Frappuccino or whatever the next VW album is without him could be messy. It's clear he brought a lot of ideas to the table, especially the ability to make digestible little four-minute suites out of his ideas.

But it also felt a little thin and shaky in spots. Could've cut a few tracks and been a little tighter. There were a few tracks that kinda felt to me like scraps of ideas that needed more work.

Lots of beautiful production. Bike Dream is a winner, for sure.

    I'm feeling a strong 6 to a light 7. Tranó

yeah I think this sums it up nicely.

Bike Dream, Thatch Snow, Wood, Gwan, EOS, Rudy are prob my top songs on the album. With rostams other work I was expecting this album to be a solid 9/10 for me but its really probably a 7.5 imo. If the whole album was as strong as the songs I listed I think it could have been my undisputed AOTY

I'm a few posts early, but to celebrate crossing 20,000 posts today, instead of writing some big long thing (because I'm a writer and that's what I usually do), I made a playlist "mixtape" on YouTube to share with you all.

For 20K, there's 20 artists starting with or surnames with the letter K.

Most have videos, but a few don't. I figured YouTube was easiest to share it.

    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...pB7PwaCZ7Ve-UO

Tracklist in the spoiler if you want it.

Thanks to all of you for being such a fantastic group of people to talk about music with every day. It means so much.

Was great seeing the whole album played live in full this summer. Wish it was the original lineup though.

congrats on 20k! love talking music with everyone. I've found so many bands/new music from being on here. Anytime I introduce my gf/friends/family to a new show, music, etc they'll ask me how I heard about it and 95% of the time it's Ants

I have discovered so many great artists because of this thread. I used to just be stuck in a rut of listening to the same artists over and over and never knew who to branch off to. Its true that most times someone asks how I found a band it is from Ants.

I've only heard some of their duets, but what I've heard it wonderful.

I think there's a couple albums from them.
