Re: Album of the Day

Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt
Tallest Man - Wild Hunt
DMB - Warehouse 8, Vol. 6

My Warehouse 8V6 arrived yesterday. I don't really have a problem with the songs chosen, but the particular versions (wrong thread, I know). Why YMDT from 2006 and not 2009? Eh Hee with Danny Barnes instead of The Roots from 2007? Those kinda things.

Reasonable Doubt is so good.

Forgot about this, but really have no reason to DL it. The tracklisting is beyond laughably bad.

I don't love YMDT or Eh Hee, for example, but I don't hate 'em either, so I don't have a problem with it.

Gravedigger and Say Goodbye are good songs.

Nah I didn't really mean for it to come off like that. I just saw the tracklisting, and basically the only song I really care for is Say Goodbye.

EDIT: Actually its been far too long since I've played some D&T. I'm gonna throw on some Lost Acoustics...

That last post just made me look them up and wow, glad I did. Iron Maiden meets, I don't know, Cheap Trick? Maybe some of the heavier Skynyrd?

It's going to be a great show. 4 very different segments of metal, all really fantastic.

Clearly these guys don't take themselves too seriously.

    Band lineup from wiki:
    • Valient Himself - Vocals
    • Eidan Thorr - Guitars
    • Dr. Professor Nitewolf Strangees - Bass
    • Sadat Thorr - Guitars
    • Lucian Thorr - Percussion
    Awesome

anyone who's a fan of TMOE, check out his cover of Graceland by Paul Simon. not too shabby...i think he's missing an instrumental melody a little, but it's cool anyway.

Local Natives was in town last Saturday, it was mindblowing. They looked completely taken aback that everyone knew the words and was raging so hard. Really cool dudes.

Dr. Dog and Deertick are coming this weekend, along with Megafaun in the next few weeks.

Spring tour season is the best season
