On her website in 2009, Barr gave her detailed take on where each of the main characters from the show would be in a possible Roseanne revival: Roseanne and Jackie opening the first medical marijuana dispensary in Lanford; Dan reappearing alive after faking his death; DJ being published; Mark dying in Iraq; David leaving Darlene for a woman half his age; Darlene coming out, meeting a woman and having a baby with her; Becky working at Walmart; Arnie befriending the governor of Illinois and remarrying Nancy; Bev selling a painting for $10,000; Jerry and the grandsons forming a boy band; and Bonnie being arrested for selling crack.

    Interesting.

I wonder how they would do flashbacks considering how long it's been since the show ended.

How did the show end? I know it was controversial but never really watched it/read any further.

In the finale of the second to last season Dan had a heart attack at a wedding, and it was left open ended as to what happened to him. The next season he was a live and everything was great for the entire family after being a downtrodden working class family for the entire series, they won the lottery, yadda yadda yadda. In the finale it was revealed that Dan really did die and that the entire series was Roseanne writing a book about what she wished had happened.

The entire series? Not just the season? Interesting.

Wonder how they're going to pick it back up.

Ahhh, that makes more sense. I always kind of just sporadically watched Roseanne.

finished Master of None last night.

What a fantastic season. Only episode I didnt like was the one that followed around the regular people, door man, cab driver etc. It was kind of just there. I was waiting for it to tie back to the story but it never did.

The ending has me really wanting more. Sucks we may never get it.

Also, Francesca is hot as hell.

Yeah I thought it was super interesting in that it followed the everyday life of people that we don't necessarily care to think about - cab driver, hotel worker, a deaf person - and at the end of the day, we're all still essentially the same, share the same interests, i.e. like all ending up at the same movie.

I liked the way it was shot and written, it was more how much it stuck out from the story that rubbed me the wrong way.

At that point youre so invested in the characters and Dev/Francesca it almost felt like 'wtf and I watching this for'?

Favorite episode for me was probably the tinder dates one.

I also finished Master of None S2 this weekend. Loved it. Such a relatable show. His "dates" with Francesca and all the awkward moments were like ahh I remember exactly what that shit is like and probably what's going to happen next.

I also liked that first date episode. Really kinda made me shudder remembering that life of being on dating apps.

Loved any of the Italian stuff, especially Dev speaking Italian. And the whole "allora" bit

Lots of little random funny lines like "Ugh, those tapas-loving fucks!"

You could also say the same for the Thanksgiving episode though. It had Dev and Denise but didn't really have anything to do with the overall plot of the season.

Just took those as creative breaks from that main arc.

True but learning the back story of main characters makes more sense than a whole episode of random people.

I loved that episode. At first I didn't really understand what was happening but I love when stories come together like that. Allows you to take a walk in someone else's shoes to see how they get to the same place you're at.

And yes, Francesca is one of those natural beauties. She looks identical to a girl who I went to high school with and made several attempts to date. All went poorly.

Got one episode left in my S2 re-watch. Will start on S3 on Saturday, hopefully. I don't binge watch shows, though. Probably watch an episode a week.
