I don’t read tons of O’Connor but he’s got good stuff. Did not realize Barrett was getting to the line that much. Interesting note about Toppin, confirms the eye test. he was drafted as a pick and roll screener and finisher but he hasn’t been used that way at all


the cap sheet is clean and certainly the public perception is very favorable. i’m just so concerned about sustainability- since February they’re STILL in the bottom 5 allowing way too many threes and shots at the rim. they’ve definitely earned their rim protection stats but their opponents are just missing open shots, it’s quite remarkable.

on top of that they’re making threes at a good clip but on way too low of volume. i think getting some more volume shooters in the market is a quick fix but the defense is in prime position to regress to the mean with their continued drop coverages

nah i’m all for saving his legs for when it matters most

Redick was the 7th man, he looks pretty good. they didn’t run the usual pin downs that he’s used to so he was clearly getting used to some new spots on the floor, but the shot looks great

Finney-Smith this past couple weeks has looked great. done well defensively as usual but he’s finding other ways to affect the game offensively other than just spotting up. he has the body to do it. slowly making his way from a decent starter to a high quality role player
