Re: the (2021) summer so far

I can't believe they closed two in a row with Shake Me. I was fine with the Why I am closer, but after they closed out 2014 Gorge with Shake Me I've dreaded being at a show where it closed again.

Deal. Water under the bridge homie.

I like seeing DMB. It’s a day to make an event of. Get to the lots early, have a few drinks, blast some music from your car. Get to your seats, see an awesome opening run but the stall out. Then bounce before SMLAM gets going and get home before traffic even starts. Sounds like a fantastic day to me!
When you get home, are your cats disgusted with you for leaving during SMLAM?

Nothing can really beat the SPAC N2 '14 encore of: Squirm, Shake Me.

Would you guys be excited if they played something that isn't top tier but random like The Riff?

They say something along the lines of "I am entitled to what I think a good fan is, and you are not one"

And then they beg for food in the morning anyways.

Actually, take that back. Gorge N1 '18 was maybe my least favorite. Come Tomorrow and YMDT.

Got back to Crescent Bar in time to see the house lights go on from down the river!

Yes. A few I could reasonably see them busting out: So Right, WYA, R&R, VITR.

A few that would have me pumped for how they're reaching into the vault in new ways: Up and Away, Too High, Snow Outside, Break for It, Kit Kat Jam.

I’d love to see more AFTW return honestly. Miss that album. I was stoked to get If Only. Fun little tune and different.

One thing I’m sure will happen. Seven in WPB

N3 in 2018 I chatted with Raab outside of the Pit during the encore, he told me Butterfly was coming. Stuck around for that, which was awesome. Hello Again came next and we figured that was about it. Walked to the top of the hill to watch the end. Then Cornbread started and we laughed and jogged out to the car. Asleep by 11:30 to be up the next morning before 5 and the drive to SEA

Dave needs to play more of the forgotten tracks from most of the albums - they tend to be the better ones.

Give me some Broken Things, Snow Outside, The Riff, and Gaucho.

(I know that means Mercy>Hands and Belly Jelly Nice are coming)

Gorge N1 2018 was probably one of my least favorite I can remember from the Gorge. That and the trifecta of "Side of the Road" in 2009, they're both low points.

Re: the (2021) summer so far

Show was great last night in Atlanta. Show # 54 for me and it is in the top tier. Opening run was so fantastic that it set the good mood for the entire evening. I thought tempo was great, most songs have a little room to breathe. Cornbread and Don't Drink were the only songs I felt were the same hyper speed. Shake me a closer is a let down, but at least they slowed it down where it doesn't feel like a race. It would be nice if they added something to it for something different. Very thrilled to have this as my first live show return and look forward to DC. It was also nice not seeing Jimi and that awful outro. Highlights were the opening run (LB included because of the energy) and 3rd verse to grey street. As many have stated, the crowd erupts when the 3rd verse starts and hopefully this continues. I miss the acoustic blues sound this band had, but DMB 4.0 is what it is now. I don't see myself ever listening or buying anything post 2018, but I sure do enjoy the shows. My car is for listening to the old stuff and shows or for seeing how the band is now. 3 shows in this year and much, much better looking sets than the start of 2019.

When you get used to disappointment, after a while all you can just do is laugh. That's how I cope with Phillies pitching.

Why are you trying to start shit again? Leave it be man. My choices at a show don’t have any effect on you in the slightest.

Exactly What You Said! DMB has a fiddle...this is now just some adult contemporary rock band. If you like that...its cool...but this band every year gets further away from the sound that delineated them from everyone else and creating their own genre.
